toning up while pregnant

Before I got pregnant I was doing BFL with the intentions of losing 15-20lbs. I was working out 6 days a week, usually doing 2 workouts 4 of the days. My major problem areas are my hips/thighs/butt. (and abs too). So I'm wondering if I start to focus more on my lower body if it will tone up a bit even though I'm pregnant?

Wendy - I know that you've been able to get in 6 workouts a week. Have you noticed any changes?
 
I haven't noticed any changes in my body per say BUT I have gained 25 pounds with my pregnancy so far on my little 5'3" frame and I don't look it! I believe whole heartedly that this has to do with my dedication to exercise!!! Now I can't say wether it's because I have a lot of muscle gains that I am not noticing which are adding the extra weight, or if the 25 pounds is "neccessary baby weight" and the exercise is keeping the excess at bay...I'm really not sure but I don't care! LOL I'm just THRILLED that except for my belly-I look no heavier!

Anyway, that being said, I am sure that you could tone up regardless of the fact that you are pregnant...maybe I just haven't noticed the differences personally coz I am just so happy that I'm not getting "fat".

Oh yes, and one more thing...Up until recently, I was doing A LOT more cardio than weights so that may also have something to do with the fact that I haven't noticed any additional tone or muscle in my body...
