To the educated crowd, I need advise!

Hello everyone. I posted also in "Ask Cathe", but I thought I would try here - this is the educated crowd after all! My wonderful husband is working out at least 4-6 times per week, but I feel he needs to change his focus. He is a very muscular man, and he wants to continue to build his muscle. He does have the usual problem areas -mainly his midsection. I have told him that I feel he needs to do cardio to lose the excess, but he tells me he will lose muscletone if he does that. Now, He doesn't really like to do workout videos -he was a distance runner & cyclist in School, then he went into the Marine Corp. He now owns & runs his own construction company. Motivation, as you can tell, is not his problem. He just needs to know what will do the job for him. He does weights every day that he works out, but isn't chiseled/cut like I think he would like to be. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me help him? If you know of another site that is geared towards men, maybe? OR, if you know where a good source for workout regimens is that he can look at? I really want to help him keep the great focus that he has and find a way to get him the results he wants.
You guys are great, I'm sure someone will be able to give me a suggestion. Thats what I love about this forum!!

magazines

I'm not sure about men's exercise needs, but I would recommend looking at a men's fitness magazine, like Muscle and Fitness (you can look at the website too!) or Men's Health. These are just male versions of the sites/magazines that women read. (I'm sure your husband doesn't need tips on losing those hips!)

I would buy him a subscription to Men's Health magazine right now...don't wait for his birthday! It's the best mag out there IMO for working out, and for other stuff. I can't to get mine every month.

This is just my opinion. I would think he needs to do cardio as well. Tell him to do his weight training and cardio afterwards 25 to 30 minutes minimum 3-5 times a week. Make sure he is on a clean diet and he should see the results he wants to see. Make sure he is getting enough protein as well. Just my advice.

I agree with the cardio recommendation--remember your heart is the most important muscle of all!!
