To exercise or not...

Hi everyone!

I would like to get your opinion...
I am doing Jillys CTX rotation:
A cardio followed by 2 body parts for 5 days of the week and LL once per week.

Problem is, I've been extremely tired the last few days. I have been planning my sisters bridal shower and yesterday had it (yeah!!) so that has been stressful.

So, this morning I just did not want to get up. I felt like a rag doll and wanted to just lay there. My resting HR was 40 bpm. Usually it's around 50. But my 3 kids were calling!!

And, my weight just will not budge! I've been on the rotation for 2 1/2 weeks now and thought it would get me over the plateau. But, I am stuck!! If I was firm my weight wouldn't bother me but my legs and butt could really use some help!! (5'7" 130lb)

So, do I take off a few days, incorporate an extra rest day or just get my butt up, exercise and then I'll feel better???
Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks! Cathy :D

Hi Cathe,
If your tired take a rest day.Its hard enough exercising, working, housecleaning, and taking care of a family. Then you just put a bridal shower on top of it.I've been there and chances are I probably didn't take any rest days.Plan not to do it and later if you find that you have an hour to yourself or you are feeling energized, then do it.
If your weight is not the problem, then why don't you put the PLB workout in there to? (If your problem areas are your lower body)You sound like you are at a good weight to me.I am 5'3" and 126lbs and you got 4" on me.Besides for that, you have had 3 kids:eek: I think you should congratulate yourself on staying at the weight you are.But I also know what is like to be unhappy with your body and to have parts that need toning.Thats why I suggest you substitue some cardio for weight training.Just my 2 cents...

I agree that your weight is probably fine. You just need to replace fat with muscle. Do more weight work and less cardio, and take the day off or just do yoga or walking if you are so exhausted.

I vote take a break... and then when you come back focus on weight training!

Take it from a girl who went into a big ol' overtraining spell with no results.... it is not worth the hours and hours if your body is telling you to rest!

Give yourself a couple days off! You deserve it! It will do you good when you come back!
