To everyone who encouraged me to get Duke's surgery...

THANK YOU!!!! He had the surgery just over 2 weeks ago. The staples came out yesterday and he's doing great! He's walking on the leg and getting his "spring" back. The vet wants me to start building his strength up again with short walks and says he should be back to normal by the beginning of April.

I am so glad I did this for my old man! Bank account and age be damned! My old friend is like a young dog again.

How's your baby these days? Duke actually played tug-o-war with Buster yesterday. He wouldn't have even bothered up until then. It's the first time he's played anything with Buster since Buster moved in in December. (Duke's version of TOW with Buster is just standing there and not letting go of the toy while Buster pulls. There's a good 60# weight difference between them, so no risk of re-injury)
