TLT's FYC...subs?

August

Cathlete
Wow, that rotation using TLT, Cathe and Christi looks like a blast! I want to give it a try...but I don't have FYC.

Can anyone suggest a substitution for Finding Your Core? What kind of workout is that considered?

Many thanks!

Hi August,

Can you post the rotation tht contains all of these? I have some TLT's I haven't utilized enough and I love my Cathe's and Christi's.

Thanks in advance,

Jeanette

Hi August,

Thanks so much, just printed it off. Think I may do this one soon. I'm on Week 3 of Fitness Freak's 1 body part a day so have one more week of that, then this may be the ticket to change things up. Then again, Cathe's new one's will be out so I'll have to do those for a while. Wonder if she'll post a rotation for November using the new ones?

I get a real kick out of reading your Cardio Hateville thread each day. You guys can be quite entertaining. Love it!

Thanks again,

Jeanette

Hiya, Jeanette,

Oh, I'm also currently doing a 1 body part a day rotation right now. I wish I'd have thought to use Fitness Freak's rotation for it since I've heard so many good comments on it. I'll have to try that out later in the winter.

Haha, thanks for hanging out at Cardio Hatesville. You're always welcome to drop by! :D

Thanks, August, just printed that one out too. I like having a generic structure and then I can sub.

Re: Christi workouts. I just got done mastering her Cardio Collectibles and really enjoyed it. Not too hard to learn and I'm getting to where I'm "listening" more to her. During her sale recently, I bought Solid Gold Cardio and Solid Gold Step, though I haven't tried them yet. I have Fantastic Four, but have only done Step Heaven and Hi-Lo Heaven, not Still Jumping yet or Still Steppin. Have you done any of these? Can you rate them in difficulty?

I had two Christi DVD's I gave away. I found them too complicated for my brain and feet. Kudos to those who can master the footwork. I would have given them another crack if her "crew" in the background didn't drive me to distraction. What I really love about Cathe and her background excersisers is how they enhance the workout rather than distract from it.

These rotations would also be great for incorporating Cathe's new workouts:
Day 5: Instead of BodyMax use BodyMax 2
Day 7: Circuit workout could be Low Impact Circuit
Day 10: Instead of SJP do Drill Max
Day 12: Instead of Bootcamp do Buts n Guts
Day 15: Instead of All step do a cardio premix from the new series
Day 20: Drill Max
Day 23: BodyMax 2

I love Cathe's and Christi's, and, when everybody was on the TLT bandwagon, I ordered three of them. I really don't care for them at all, and I much prefer the type of functional fitness that I saw on Cathe's extended clips.

Jeanette - I'm going through a huge Christi phase right now. I only found her a couple months ago and now I've bought every single Christi workout available }( LOL. So I do have all the ones you're talking about, however, I haven't done them yet. Oh darn it, you know, I just remembered someone had made a list of difficult to easy of her workouts so I went to Christi's site to see if I could find it, but they've totally erased all the threads because they've been having Spam problems :-( . Sorry I can't help you out there.

Paxy - I wonder what two workouts you had? I'm ultra-sensitive to background crew but I haven't had much trouble with anyone in Christi's workout. Well, there is one woman in one workout ;) LOL but I've gotten to the point where I can look beyond.

Angela - Thanks for your recommendation. Urgh on me, as Supersets is one of the few Cathe I don't have x( . But it looks like you're saying a total body endurance would fit the bill? Perhaps Power Hour, or Jari Love?

Caitlin - Oh no, don't say that  LOL. I'm all gung ho on my next rotation using these new ones! I hope I'll like functional fitness...

PH is harder than FYC in my opinion but I don't see why you couldn't use that or Jari Love...SS uses the stability ball and FYC uses the stability ball a lot, but you will be able to lift heavier with PH. Another idea would be to use the total body premix from the Pyramid DVD. I think finiding a total body workout where you are quickly moving from one thing to the next would be a good substitue for FYC.

Angela,

Thank you so much for your idea! If you think the premix for Pyramid might be more similar to FYC, then I'll try that out!

Much obliged! :)

Hey August,
I don't think it's really similar, but I think it keeps moving pretty quickly. FYC is quite unique. Good luck!

I've always only done the Pyramids in its entirety, so it'll be fun to try out the premix.

Thanks again!
