Yipeeee Skippeee! Trader Joe's is FINALLY coming to Colorado!!! How totally exciting as a former California girl, I have missed it dearly. All the unique and affordable gourmet foods!! Pretty sure the floral section will be lacking, but that's okay.

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!

The one in Salt Lake City, UT is supposed to open on the 30th! :D

Unfortunately, since we moved, it will be about 45 minutes away. But it would be worth a trip every now and again. Could you wonderful Cathletes share your favorites, so I'll know what to look for when I go?

Thanks!

We just got one here last month in Winston Salem, NC! Everyone went nuts over it! I still haven't gone, but I intend to! I hear that Trader Joe's powdered peanut butter is to die for (they've removed most of the fat and you can reconstitute it with water to whatever consistency you like for sauces, "frosting", etc....).

I just saw powdered p.butter at GNC yesterday and wondered what it would taste like. Have you tried it?

I have been to Trader Joes but for some reason I like Whole Foods better. Do u have WF out your way?

Another Whole Foods fan. It's much better than TJ's in my area.

We DO have a WF and I love it! The employees are so informative and cheerful! I always enjoy myself when I'm there!
I have not tried TJs powdered peanut butter yet, but I saw in side by side taste tests that it was the prefered product among competitors (can't remember the site where the test was done though ).

I live near WF and TJs...love both! I shop at WF for my staples, but TJs has items you don't find anywhere else and very good prices on some organic staples (e.g. Romaine, canned beans, etc.)

There are so many great TJ items, lots of healthy ones, but I cant seem to think of any right now! They have fabulous lemon curd, yogurt cilantro spread, organic three cheese pizza (don't confuse with the four cheese, which isn't nearly as good). The mini peanut butter cups, the orange and raspberry chocolate jelly sticks, the shortbread jam cookies, the organic Green tea. OH, the peppermint Jo Jos! Get them any time you see them, because they sell out right away! Basically they're Oreos (but so much better) with crushed peppermint in the filling...yum! And the maple leaf cookies...sure, you think you've had these before, but not like this. All their cookies are made with butter, not hydrogenated fats, and vanilla, not "vanillin" and it makes a tremendous difference in flavor.

Oh, and their fresh salsa (mild) is great. One of my favorite quick meals is to sauté some chicken or pork, then add a container of their mild salsa to the pan and cook another 5-10 minutes. Such a tasty fast meal! Serve over rice if you prefer. Their salsa is best for this, because it has so much garlic. :)

Oh, the chili lime cashews are great, too...good mixed with rice to jazz up your side dish...if there are any left after you rip open the bag, that is! Oh, the sweet and salty nut mix is wonderful, too! (salted nuts mixed with peanut brittle).

Have fun!!!

I am so excited to have TJ coming to Denver. I have missed it ever since I left San Diego. Anyone heard a estimated date of opening?
