Tips for Improving Difficult Moves

Going a step further than the "Moves That Are Still Difficult" thread, please list any moves that have been difficult for you and ways that have helped you improve at them (e.g., using the couch to stabilize the stability ball in PLB).

My tip will be general rather than specific: keep at it! I have found that tenaciously doing difficult moves has improved a lot of difficult moves for me. I'm still horrible at push-ups but, doggonit, I'm gonna stick with it till I can do a whole set with Cathe!

This next thought is a little off-topic, but related to improving moves: setting goals. Since I turned 40 in December 2001, I set a fitness goal for each year. For 40, I wanted to do a split; I can do one now, no problem. For 41, I wanted to do 5 big girl push-ups; I can do them (but with difficulty and only on a good day!). For 42, I'd like to be able to do a "teaser" (a Pilates ab move).

Back to the topic, does anyone have any good tips to share?:)
