Tipping

Hi All,

How much does one tip a manicurist these days 10%, 20%? After a couple of years doing my own manicures at home, I decided to treat myself this afternoon, nothing fancy just a simple manicure. I tipped the guy about 25%. What is appropriate?

I usually tip about 20% for great service, but you're certainly welcome to go higher

Hi Alexandra,
25% would be a bit much in Virginia. I would think 15% for average service, 20% if really good. I usually tip 20% for good service at resturants, 15% if not very good service, & 20+ for outstanding service.

I used to give a $2 tip on a $10.00 basic manicure...and $4 or $5.00 on a $20.00 fill for my wraps when I had them....
