Tinggling and numbness in toes

Hi, everyone.
I have question about tinggling and numbess in toes during workout.
Is it normal to have some or any of it is not ok?
I've always had this numbess and tinggling sensation and went thru number of sneakers to find the perfect fit but not been successful.
I'm not even sure if it's problem with shoes or just my feet.
I usually get this sensation during second half of step and hi/lo w/o.
Any response would be appreciated.

Thanks

Christie

Your sneakers aren't tied too tight are they? I get that in my toes too, but usually gets better if I loosen the laces a little.

I've had this problem too. I loosened my laces and that helped a lot. I have a very high arch and instep and it's easy to pull the laces too tight across the boney prominence.

I had this same problem several monthes ago. It was interrupting my workouts when I had to stop and take my shoe off and rub my feet to get rid of the numbness. I had put cushioned in-soles in my shoes thinking it would protect my feet from all the pounding of aerobics. All it did was smother my feet - when I removed the in-soles the problem went away. My guess is the same as everyone else. Sounds like your shoes are just snug enough to cut off some circulation.

Oh yes, that reminds me. I had to have orthotics made for my gym shoes and you need to go up in size if you're going to use inserts. The cushioning definitely helps! You need to take inserts with you when you try shoes on.

Thanks everyone for your replies!!
I will loosen my laces and see how it is.
I may even try shoes with wide width even though I usually wear medium width with no problem.

Thanks

Christie:)

Just another vote for loosening your laces. Also, you might want to have your arches looked at to make sure you're wearing the right shoes as this along with the laces could be the problem.
