This might be of interest to some of you.
A few weeks ago, I reminded my OB/GYN that I'm on thyroid medication (for an underactive thyroid)and that I'm not due to see my Endocrinologist until December. The OB/GYN decided to do a blood test to check my TSH level and it turns out that I was way off the chart.
Bottom Line: my medication had to be increased.
The doctor might not have ordered the test unless I reminded him of my condition. Then I would've had to wait until my annual visit to the specialist in December to find out that my hormone levels were out of whack. I wanted to share this info in case anyone else is in a similar situation. I regret that I didn't post this sooner.
