Cathlete
Hey fellow Canadians and other non-Americans! We've got the list to ourselves today! Let's talk cricket, "football", and all things Queen. Let's have a Mr. Dressup trivia contest! Oh heck, let's talk CORNER GAS!!

All right, back to business. This morning I did Step Blast followed by the Timesaver #2 core work. I'd completely forgotten about that session of stability ball pikes. That was a fun surprise. SB was the blast it usually is. Love, love, love that workout. I like in the warm up when Cathe says "Hello, here we are again!". She just has a fun attitude throughout this whole workout.

Mariángeles - how's the injury?

Haydee - enjoy SJP/SB! They are certainly fun!

Josie - how exciting to be so close to becoming a grandparent!! I wish your son and his partner all the best in bringing a new life into the world!!

Sandy - your gym stepping is faster than Cathe? Maybe more like Cathe's earlier stuff? (Body Max, Step Works?). Did you get any comments about your new gear? What workout are you going to do today? Step Blast, or the mish mosh Laurie devised?

Tammy - I would have ignored the door and let the furnace man come back when he said he would! That's ridiculous to arrive 2 hours early. You could very easily have been away from home.

Jennifit1 - I would so look like Cathe if that danged work didn't get in the way! :) Anyone know how I can get paid to workout at home? And it has to involve being fully clothed :-D

Laurie - yes, do SuperSets next week! It is just F.U.N.

Jes - I only just noticed the little PM flag this morning! I will read and answer after I finish here. I'm flattered :) Good leg workout, by the way! Do you have any of Cathe's lower body weight training? Legs & Glutes in particular is a great workout, with a huge fun factor. Leaner Legs and Pyramid Lower Body are fantastic for getting the job done.

Dutchie - I was wondering where you'd gone. I hope your stressful situations have been resolved? Good luck with your new hookup!

Wendy - don't get discouraged! It's still VERY early days! If you had actually gotten a positive test by now, I would have been extremely surprised. No, I haven't tested yet. I'm 11 dpo, and am thinking of testing tomorrow, but may not. I hate wasting the money when I know that a couple more days of being patient will give me an accurate result. Pregnancy test producers are very aware how hard it is to wait until day 28, and exploit it to their full advantage. How do I manage the waiting period? Ugh! I've done this so many times that it has become a whole different experience than it used to be. My first daughter was conceived on the first attempt. Those two weeks were the very, very hardest. Couldn't get my mind off of it; drove myself nuts. Naturally, I figured we would have no problems with Number 2. Again, I was extremely excited. The disappointment I felt that month was terrible. As the months wore on, I learned not to get my hopes up. To stop daydreaming and anticipating. Creating Baby #2 has become a project; a far different experience than Baby #1. And of course, having a second child is very different from the first. With the first, you have the added dimension of changing your own social identity; the implications of being pregnant are larger than for subsequent children. I'm already a "mom"; now I'll only become a more tired mom.

On a positive note, I think there's a good chance we succeeded this month. My temperature has been following a pattern whereby it looks like implantation probably occurred 9 dpo. It then increased substantially, indicating a third level of high temperatures indicative sometimes of pregnancy. Charting your temps is far from conclusive, but it is *something* to turn to, during this long week. Plus, I got hot very early in Step Blast today; I was cooking, and wishing I had an extra fan to blow on me. I'm also finding my chest is tight, and I'm just lacking "oomph" during my workouts. This is classic early symptoms. Usually this close to my period I have a ton of energy and can power through my toughest workouts. So, I'm thinking things are looking good. But I won't know for sure until probably Saturday. And it's easy for your hubby to tell you to relax: this whole experience is completely different for him than it is for you. He will not be entering the state of "Pregnant Woman." I highly recommend that you read "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine. Hilarious and informative. I hope I've said something that helps!

All the best,
Sandra

good morning all! today's workout will consits of bicep curls on right side only as i mentioned on another post yesterday. but i am in awe of all of you who workout on a holiday. hats off to you.

Sandra- i have none of cathe's lower body workouts and i am giving dh a break until christmas. poor man, i demanded BS/BF, IMAX2/c&w, SB/SJP, bigger stability ball, new rykas, a step, dumbells and bands all at once last month. so i haven't "asked" for anything else until christmas. but my workout was excellent and today i am walking a little less spryly. i really hate to work legs, so it is a challenge. happy sweating!

jes;)

I suffered a case of premature postulation, and posted my first post before I was finished. Oops.

Mariángeles that's great that you're feeling better!! Good luck with RS! It's fun! (if you can ignore the wailing woman during the challenge).

Jes those are great workouts, but none of them really contain a proper lower body workout. Please add to your husband's burden by requesting the Pyramids, or the KPC/LG dvd. These are two purchases that you will not regret! :) If you get all that stuff for Christmas, you will be one veeeery lucky lady!! How exciting! BTW, Mariángeles and I don't get a holiday today - that's why we're working out! We're no 'Merkins! LOL! I'm going to go read your PM now.

Cheers again,
Sandra

Sandra...he got me all of that stuff last month when i suddelnly jumped on the cathe train. i was just saying that because he did i am going to wait for any more workouts until christmas. but beleive me, i am still getting good workouts. Sandra My favorite Cathe's workouts for the lower body are :

PLB
Leg and glutes
PS legs.

Kickbox is great for the lower body too.

Good morning ladies!!

Sandra....well maybe not a meal "to die for"!!! But something liked Oven Baked Breast of Tofu instead of Turkey for me and my DH. I also make some great Garlic Mashed Potatoes.

Mariángeles...hope your injury is better

Thanks for your thoughts and comments, Sandra, Mariángeles, Laurie and Wendy...:)

I did have my nephew look at my knee and do a few things to it to rule out anything serious and there was nothing serious, probably just overuse! I am going to try to run a bit today after a good warm-up. If I can't I'll do Nordic and Taebo...

Dutchie....so nice to see you!! Hope you get things straightened out soon....miss your posts.....have a great Thankgsgiving ladies....:)...Carole

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I did PLB Up only premix without floorwork and then did MIC warmup, and step portion only for cardio.

Now I need to get busy and get ready to go to the MIL's house for dinner.:7

Hi everyone!!

Carole, so glad it's nothing serious! I hope you'll continue feeling better...take care of that knee;)!! You'll have to let me know how that tofu comes out...I may want to try that next year. By the way guess what happened with my freddy shoes....there are some technical difficulties between the parent company in Italy and the website I ordered from and to make a long story short they had to cancel all remaining outstanding orders for the time being so they offered me a substitution I think it's called the high impact cardio shoe...so I said yes of course. I asked if they were no longer carrying freddy (I would have died!) but they said no not at all there are just some kinks that need to be ironed out. So the saga continues and I hope I get those by the beginning of next week...I hope I like these:)!

Sandra....just another crazy "Mercan" checking in here...LOL:p Oh no, Cathe's moves are definitely more intense, she just uses slightly slower beats...my instructor has faster paced music. It's funny actually because of IMAX2 and of course some of her other step workouts, I think I'm pretty much impressing him on how I can really fly over that step now}( ...sometimes he'll look at me like, "what did she just do?" because I am adding more jumps, etc to the routine!! Of course the music is very motivating as well! I know I said I just did a step yesterday and wanted to do something different but I woke up this morning and was just itching to do more step:eek: so I did the step only from SJP, then I did 1st combo from SB, followed by PLB pyramid up premix....that felt soooo good:7 !! The stability ball legs really fried me today! Tomorrow I may do IMAX2or KPC and PUB. Actually I don't have your rotation in front of me right now, what's on the menu for tomorrow?? Oh my friend at the gym really liked my ensemble but I gotta be honest, I was feeling a little self-conscious because I'm not used to wearing body skimming tops to the gym so I kept on my little sweater for the powerflex class on tuesday....my friend told me that I looked good in it, not to worry and I should take the sweater off next time so, I may just have enough confidence to pull it off next time
:+

Mariangeles....you are very smart to lay off the weights until you are 100% better, the last thing you want is to re-injure those same muscles. I hope you continue to feel better.....just listen to your body!

Thank you Carole. I have just done rithmic step, to much coreo for me, but no pain. I am sooooo happppy now.I love that pendulum move. ¡I could do it¡. Hoooow, God I really needed to sweat. Have a nice day everybody.

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving....

Sandra, not only did the furnace guy show up two hours early, but he was here for four hours and has to come back. It was my day off and I was so pissed!

Anyhow, today I more than made up for it with the 90 min step/hi-lo premix from SB/SJP.
Wowzers, that is one great workout!

Unfortunately I ate too much Thanksgiving turkey:-(

Tammy

Hi everyone,

Today I managed a not too intense workout consisting of PLB down only & a floor aerobic workout with Charlene...the name escapes me.

I wish I could talk to everybody individually but time has gotten away from me here & I need to wrap this session up & go to bed!

Suffice it to say I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, hope everyone is well, & Mariángeles, I hope your injury is healing quickly.

Ruth:) :)
