Thumpety-Thump-Thump: Look at those CHEETAHS go!

Dallas...glad to hear the pink eye and ear infection have cleared up. So you are a mean guitar player...:)...Thanks re: my run. The 3 of us running could most likely not have a sunday without a bit of bashing!! Sorry about the stairs...the EXT should feel better.

Laura... I had often wished I ran track in HS, but my sports were volleyball and softball. I did start running in HS but it was usually 2 miles around the track before volleyball practice. Hope you and DH have a nice Indian dinner...those hole in the wall places always seem to be the best.

Gloria...sorry about the power being out. I hate that which is why we finally bought a generator. I do feel good about the long runs that are helping my marathon training. Thanks re: my shoulder. Nice of you to try and work things out for your friends.

Judy..sorry about the 2 broken nails...OUCH!! I got the stuff for that Spicy Black Bean Chili, so I will be making it tomorrow.

Jackie...thank re: my shoulder. I had bicipital tendonitis before and this feels just like that did. It does take some time to go away...Sorry about the cold, my DH has one too. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Glad you enjoyed the black tie affair.

Posh..thanks re: my training. I am so enjoying distance again. The iPod is cool, I just have not run with it yet. Having fun loading my fav songs on it. Sounds like some nice knives. Yeah, if Romo does not ditch the bimbo before next season we are doomed! They got their butts annihilated yesterday. I did pick Philly to win though. Beat DH again, that makes me 5 weeks ahead!! Enjoy cooking with the new Cookbook.

Shelly...not sure yet about STS during marathon training as my shoulder has been bugging me. I might just stick to endurance workouts for this training session. STS will be there when I am done with the marathon. But you know I will have to try some of them...:D..great workouts for you lately...

So...I wanted to get in a fairly flat 6 miles...until I met Zeke!! He came running up from behind at about 4 miles. The cutest little Jack Russell cross, and fast...OMG!!! I had not seen him around there before, so I felt I needed to get him home. I knocked on the first door and she said "No, he always comes down here bugging my dogs, and I think he lives up that way" so I went that way choosing not to go up the steep hilly driveway. Well whaddaya know, not that house either as the owner told me Zeke always ran loose and bugged their cats. Yeah...I had to go up that steep hilly driveway!! But I felt good about getting Zeke home at least for a little while. Made my flat 6 miles a hilly, taking the dog home, 6.6 miles!! I am getting a massage this afternoon and I am looking forward to it!!

Hi Girls.

Just stopping in quickly to report my work out. I'll be back later or in the morning for personals...

I did B&G standing work only from the Standing Glutes and Abs Timesaver premix (about 30 mins including warm up and yes, Wendi, I did it with my weighted vest on!:p) and then I moved on to the first work out on my Kettlebell Bootcamp DVD (20 mins) and tacked on the ab work from that dvd as well (6 mins). Alot going on in a one hour work out and it kicked my butt!:)

Well, gotta go...DS wants to play cards now that he is done playing with his play dough! :D

BBL!

Wendy— *lol* It’s cool—you gave me a good chuckle w/ that one…I know nothing about the Turbo Jams, so I don’t think CLX ever would have caught my eye if not for the chatter around here. I’m pumped about it!

Judy—Aw, spoken like a devoted mom.
:) But really, whether you go for STS or not, I’m sure whoever gave you that money wants you to spend it on something YOU will enjoy. BTW, did you see my earlier question about your sesamoiditis?

Wendi—glad your new schedule is working well for you. How was belated Christmas with DSO?

Carole—yeah, he is—guy has a heart of gold. I adore working with him. He has me laughing so hard some days, I cry. You might say he’s the Posh of my hallway, except way crazier! *lol* But he sure has had it rough lately. Seems like some families just get one wallopin’ after another…Stinks about your shoulder. Sorry to hear that…*lol* about your Zeke story. I have always thought that would be a cool name for a dog. I swear, the whole thing sounds like a great idea for a children’s picture book. Hmm…

Dallas—smiling at you beltin’ out “Eye of the Tiger.” Glad everybody could have some much-needed fun for a change. You guys deserve some smiles over there!! Bummer that the stairs didn’t work out, though…but you’ll get there!!

Laura—I can relate to having to do all your runs in the early morning. That’s how it was for me training for Chicago all summer. Had to beat the killer humidity. I second (or third) the vote for Cytomax. Dinner on the rooftop does sound romantic.

Gloria—I don’t think I’d last very long up north with that brutal weather. I feel for you!…Yup, I agree—working out, in general, is fun (well, USUALLY), but I meant, fun as in, unregimented, unstructured. You know, living on that bell schedule day-to-day makes me antsy for a little spontaneity.
 We go back on the 5th also. Shhhh. ;) :D How’s the couples therapy going?

Jackie—stinks about the cold. Quite a few family members had the sniffles on X-mas Eve and now have full-blown bugs. My BIL never even made it to the festivities. Lousy timing. Trying to ward off the germs myself. Glad you still managed to enjoy the black tie affair and the visit with your fam. Here’s hoping you’re all the way back-up-to-snuff again soon. Didn’t realize you have CLX. So, there’s a good chunk of reading to do?

Posh—I’m glad you’ve fully enjoyed the holiday merriment with the fam and can now enjoy a wee bit of downtime, too. So needed!…How was Christmas for lil F, BTW?...Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m thinkin’ ‘bout CLX and our nutty schedules!!... L’dMBO ‘bout the Folgers and the ten-foot stir stick. But nah, no way could you be considered a snob!!! Hey, with hydration, like with a lot of other things, you do get what you pay for. Sometimes it’s worth shelling out a few more rubles for a smoother ride.

Shelly—glad to see you’ve bounced back from a rough stretch. Knowing you, I can imagine it was more brutal than you let on…Yeah, I’m totally with you—kickboxing is, for sure, #2 in my heart. Great stress release. Dusted off 4DS k’box yesterday to follow CST—too fun! That is one that seems to end too soon.

Today was an EXT session followed by the BOSU core work from CIA 2604: Double Cardio. That Seasun is a straight-up BEAST, yo! I'll be surprised if I'm not hurtin' tomorrow.

Definitely workin' on bringing back the BOSU. I'm still feeling those edging drills from the ski conditioning workout. Need more of that kind of stuff to get the ankles a bit stronger.

Speaking of skiing, I've made plans to hit one of the local mountains for NYE. Should be fun. We might even get some flurries.

Well, 'nuff babblin'. Have a great night!

Evenin', Cheetah Babes!

No time really, just wanted to drop in and let you know things are going well. The funeral was sad but really nice-- holy cow was the church packed for the service.

DH & I went out to dinner while the grandparents tended... It's actually my birthday today-- not that it really feels like it, but it was nice all the same to have a little "us" time.

I also got in a nice 4+ mile interval run today. Felt good to run out some of that pent up emotion.

Best wishes & thanks for all the kind sentiments.
