Three Things.... March 22, 2005

Okay, I can't think of three good things today, only hundreds of negative ones. The only thing I can come up with is that the sun is shining and it's vaguely warm out.

Maybe if someone else posts their three things it will give me some positive energy.

1. The sun is out and it's more than vaguely warm, at least in comparision to yesterday.

2. In the third HC Extreme Workout, which I did yesterday, the chapter listings make it look as though you have to do the KM Blast Challenge Twice, when really it's only split in half. I don't think I've ever been happier!

3. It's "spring" break for me and I have the day off, again!

I'll even add a 4th if it will help...
4. I have delicious and healthy minipumpkin/molasses muffins w/ natural PB waiting for a snack! Made them myself last night, moist, delicious, and recipe altered so clean eating friendly
:9 :9 :9
5. I officially own PUB/PLB DVD and IMAX2 vhs now, full versions!
Feel better, get some sun!
Mattea

1) The sun is out.
2) The birds are singing
3) I got a kiss from my daughter before I left for work. (She doesn't like kissing)

Shelley- I felt that way alot last week before my sister called..
she is going to have a baby!!!!

(1) Yup, my baby sister is having her first baby due in October! Yeah!
(2) The sun is shining and it is almost 60!
(3) My best friend called from PA

Charlotte~~

1. I have a wonderful DH, who does his best to make me laugh, on purpose too!

2. Tonight for dinner we are having homemade ravioli and marinara sauce (lowfat and delicious! Mamma mia!)

3. My boss, who I can't stand, is away for meetings all day!

Bonus Good Thing:

There have been a lot of positive postings lately on the board, and I appreciate all the efforts to make this a better place to visit.

1. I love this thread! Every time I read it, I smile :)
2. The sun is out, it is warmer today and it feels less like winter!
3. I started the day with Power Hour and will end the day with my favorite cardio class at the gym (I rarely do two workouts but today is an exception!).

I kinda feel the same way today, Shelley. I have to really think hard of 3 positive things today. I overslept this morning and didn't work out so that wasn't a good start to the day at all. Let's see:

1. I have passed numerous treats at work and have not indulged at all.
2. A new girl started today and she seems nice.
3. I shaved my legs this morning and didn't cut myself.

That was pretty weak.....

Angie

1. I made it through my first day of eating clean and it wasn't quite as hard as I thought it would be.

2. I get to go to work and drool over the new hot guy.

3. Only 5 weeks until graduation!!

Laura

1.)A friend called me today and actually asked me to train her, and give her an eating plan to follow. She told me she wants to get ripped by summer!!! COOL!!

2.)The same friend came over and did Boot camp and Gym style chest and triceps with me today. I love to share my workouts!!!

3.)I got on the scale and weighed 1 1/2 lbs less than last time I got on it...Yeah!!!

:) ;-) :D :p :9 :7 :+

Ok, here goes:

1: Last night my DH surprised me with a new weight rack. He had it all assembled with all my free weights on it when I got home from my workout at the Y! What a great guy!

2: I'm back to my clean eating after a wild food fest on my girls' weekend in Chicago-don't even ask what/how much I consumed-it's scary!

3: Just got done spending time with my older DD coloring and talking-what fun!

Have a great day! :)

1. I started a private online journal to add to the one I keep in my computer AND the one I have under my bed... words drown me in the night, and I find it hard to sleep. Which is a good thing. I'm writing again.

2. I have this marvelous sore from yesterday's GS-chest/triceps.

3. My son told me, "You're the nicest mom I have." As if there were others.:)

Pinky

1. I ordered P90X

2. The boys are actually playing together this afternoon without fighting or arguing.

3. My husband is stopping on his way home from work at Staples to pick up things for the computer so I don't have to go out in the rain.

Pinky-
I guess with kids you have to glad for any compliment you may get, no matter how small. I can relate though, I always tell my husband that he is my favorite husband. :+

I love this thread because even when the stuff is hitting the fan at work, I can take time to think of three positives...

1) Even though I'm still drowning in a cold I was able to do GS chest and triceps today--ouch!

2) The sitting stretch done after GS chest and triceps was done with my warm, newly awake 2.5 year old angel boy on my lap hugging me the whole time.

3) I work with really good people whom I like, respect and have fun with.

let's see:

1. i ordered my beach wedding dress today:)
2. scale is down to 153!!!!! :+
3. i got my allergy Rx refilled! Thank God! This pollen is killin me!

love reading about everyone's "happy thoughts"!

jes

p.s. Ruth, i hope you are reading these every day!!!:)

1. I did IMax3 and survived.
2. It actually got up to 50 degrees here.
3. My dog smiled at me. :)

Nancy, I tell you... it's been honestly a s-t-r-e-t-c-h getting myself to bond with my child. He didn't stop crying for a year! Even when I was holding him, he'd be crying. There was acid reflux, then the chronic ear infections, then the constant biting followed by these sudden, inexplicable bouts of aggression. Well, now I totally understand him, thanks to an OT and a family/play therapist we see. I never got to enjoy my son in his infancy, and I was being blamed for a lot of his misbehavior in his 2's and 3's. Funny... the you're-an-incompetent-mother tone I got from many people (those who were supposed to help me) always ended their lectures with the usual but-you-know-it's-normal spiel. Was that supposed to make me feel better? Eventually I realized that what's not normal are these people who work in the field of education but who really shouldn't be there since they don't have enough patience or respect for children. People who say your kid should be on ritalin even though they're not doctors, and your kid hasn't yet been diagnosed with any condition. Anyway, I COUNT every tiny bit of joy this child gives me now. Like I said in a previous post, I've been brought to my knees. He and I have come a long way together.

As for my husband... hey, there could be others. Ha!:+

Sorry it's long,
Pinky

I really don't have many positive things to say today. (Sorry to be a downer.)
I did do Legs & Glutes tonight.
I'm still alive.
My two youngest children are in bed.
(Weak? ... I think mine is the weakest.)
