Those Using "The Skin Type Solution " method

Cathlete
Hi,

There was a thread here not too long ago regarding the book by Leslie Baumann "The Skin Type Solution". I got the book at the library and have purchased all the recommended items for my skin type ( results from the quiz in the book).

I am looking for others ( Nancy 324) that are doing this to see how it is working for you etc.

Anyone out there?

Deb:)

RE: Those Using

I just got the book and just purchased all the recommended products too so I won't be any help. I just wanted to thank Nancy for bring the book to my attention, I missed the OP who suggested it. I have never been so excited to wash my face, lol. I am an OSNW. :)

RE: Those Using

I just recently purchased the book, but haven't had a chance to read much just yet. I too am hoping it works wonders for me -- and soon!

RE: Those Using

Maybe when we get started, we can start a check in thread? This way we can compare what we are doing to results? I went over to the forum that she has on her site.. but there are so many people over there and a lot of threads that I don;t understand!

RE: Those Using

Deb,
I want to finish the products I have before buying the new recommended products, so I haven't started yet. I intend to report back once I start on the new products.

How is it going for those who have started?

RE: Those Using

I have this on my list of books to look for at the library today, so I plan on trying it out. I'm also interested in hearing results from others as they get them.

RE: Those Using

Hi everyone,

I've been using the recommendations in her book since the original hardback version came out, and I've seen GREAT changes in my skin! I think I mentioned on that original post that I had been using alpha-hydroxy products, which weren't doing anything for my wrinkles. As soon as I switched to retinol products, my wrinkles started getting noticeably better. I can't say enough great things about the book!

What types are all of you? I'm OSNW.

RE: Those Using

I just got that book early this week. I am a college student and I liked that she gave drug store brands and the higher end stuff. I only ended up spending 20 dollars for the products I needed. I have sensitive acne prone tight skin. I am already on RetinA but I added a lotion and a cleanser I was not using before to my routine. I have only been using it for a few days but the lotion did help bring down some of the red tones in my face. The RetinA helped with the acne and I am hoping her book will help even out my skin tones and stop the occasional break outs I still have.

RE: Those Using

Hi,

I am a DRPW. I purchased all the recommended items on Ebay. I saved some money that way. I have not gotten any yet but plan to use them one at a time, adding one each week, if no negative reactions.

RE: Those Using

Deb's idea of adding in only one new product a week is a really good one, especially if you have sensitive skin!

RE: Those Using

Just picked up the book today @ the Library.
I am a DRNW.

Good suggestions. They suggest I use Anew products on some of the things. Hmmm...I used these in the past and noticed good results, I guess I should of stuck with it...:)

Off to shop & ck out ebay! :)

RE: Those Using

I checked the book out from the library and figured out I'm an ORNW. I could have sworn I was dry before I took that test, but I guess I was wrong--I'm in the "slightly oily" range, though. I think my skin was drier before having kids--maybe it's another of those things pregnancy changed forever (like my breasts and feet).
