Those "Plastic" Clogs Everyone Is Wearing

Madonna

Cathlete
Have you guys noticed the plastic clogs everyone is wearing? The ones that come in all the bright colors and have the holes in them? They are so big in my area, are they in your town?

I bought a pair today, in pink. They are called "Crocs" and are $30 a pair, not really worth it but they are the height of fasion right now. A man behind me at the checkout counter said he loved his and I would not regret getting them. They are not really made out of plastic, more like a tough foam and very light weight. They had a pair in bright orange and they reminded me of big, cute duck feet!

I havent worn mine yet, I just got them at lunch today.

Love,
Madonna

p.s. To those of you that went on the road trip, I am glad you had a good time. I have enjoyed seeing the pictures.

RE: Those

Madonna, I've been wearing those or a variation for quite some time since I've worked in ICU. I guess I worked in that area for so long, they seem almost beige to me. Every once in a blue moon I hear someone say it looks cool, but I have been so over that for a long while I don't even notice.

When I was in ICU or CCU I loved bright clogs or scrubs. ( Yes, I have bright green ones) different? But now... I desparately wish I could wear my Cathe Tee to work one day. No such luck!

RE: Those

I have heard of "Crocs". The speciality shoe store that I go to for workout shoes told me that they are very bad for your feet as they offer absolutely no support.

Just thought I'd pass that along...

RE: Those

A bunch of my fellow nurses have crocs where I work too-I work in LDRP. I don't have them but I also love bright, wild scrubs, it brings some fun to those non-flattering scrubs we must wear.

RE: Those

I've seen them in magazines and at one of the stores, but I haven't seen anyone really wearing them yet. And I work on a college campus where all they got to do is pout at daddy and get anything they want. I was really surprised when they came out a few weeks ago and not everyone and their brother is wearing them yet. But when fall hits I bet I'll see them since there will be 80,000 students between the 3 universities in this town.

Crocs!

I bought a pair (in navy.....very mellow!) about a year ago. They are great for wearing around and the bomb at the beach. Gravel, sand and water flow out of them and it is so fun to walk in the surf!

I bought them for backpacking. They are so lightweight that I can throw them on the back of my pack and add no weight....but I have some comfy shoes in camp.

Then are also treated so they don't stink. I ended up buying a closed toe pair in black for winter.

I'll never be a loud pink or orange girl, but I sure do love 'em! Mine were only 20 on sale and quite the bargain for the money. My 5 and 6 year old live in them.
