This round of STS is kicking my booty!

I'm just about finished w/ my 3rd round of STS. I've got one more weight day and one more cardio day to go. I've done 1 3 month and 1 6 month with my own cardio and abs 3x a wk, and this time I'm doing the 3m rotation Shock Cardio, and not skipping the extended stretch.

These last 2 weeks are kicking my booty!!!!! Gonna make it, gonna make it. Just 2 more days to go. Who the heck puts CCC the day after plyo legs? Had a hard time getting it moving this morning. My booty is stiff from yesterday's plyo legs. I've been tired these past 2 weeks physically, but I'm going to make it. The workouts aren't giving me a rough time during them, but I've been wiped after.

I put on a dress this morning that has always fit, but was a curve hugger, and today it is a curve skimmer. Not a pound lost this rotation, but obviously something is going on. Getting saggy butt jeans, too.

For me, the 1st round of STS I lost the most weight, and some inches, and had some decent strength gains.

The 2nd round - the 6 month - didn't really seem to do much for me. Kinda seemed like I held my ground, and honestly it got a little boring about halfway thru.

This 3rd round, I haven't lost any weight, just bounced around the same few pound range I always do, but have lost pretty decently in the inches department. My strength gains this time seem to be pretty significant, and I think I will need to redo my 1 RMs before the next go around, which probably won't be til the beginning of 2011.

So 3 times thru, and 3 different sets of results. I guess part of it depends on what my body needs/wants to do at the time. Either way, I'm happy with it.

Next up, half marathon training starts next week. Eeek!!!! Taking a week off weights, then will be playing with PUB/PLB w/ a day of MM thrown in. After 3 or 4 weeks of that, I'm switching to either SS or PP, a little lighter and a little easier for when the running distances start to kick up.

Then INSANITY!!!!!!!!! Which is my motivation to get thru my 1st half marathon. Want to do Insanity. I've done a few discs here and there, some aren't so bad, but the Max Cardio conditioning dang near killed me. I'll either die during the rotation, or come out meaner, leaner and stronger on the other side :p I may wish for death somewhere in the middle, though. ;)

I also just got Pure Strength in the mail, and want to test that out, so that may come after Insanity, dunno yet. So it looks like STS will probably be back on the shelf til sometime in early 2011. Will see what it does for me the 4th time thru. :)

Wow! What a varying degree of results! I find that very interesting! I have only done the 6 1/2 month rotation so far and started to see some definition in Meso 2. I had already reached goal weight, so didn't see any further weight loss and my BF stayed pretty stable, sadly enough. I'm interested in hearing your next results. I won't be starting my next STS rotation until the fall and am planning on trying the undulating rotation using either Shock Cardio (if I get it for my birthday or something) or tabata and interval training with only 1, maybe 2 steady state cardio in there and see what happens.

I know I really need to shape up on my food some more, so I'm gearing up for that. That's the hardest part for me! I eat clean for the most part, but have room for improvement still!

Good luck on you 1/2 marathon training! I'll be starting 10K training in another few weeks or so myself!
