Good Morning!

As soon as my alarm went off, DS woke up as well:confused: I think the dog was on his bed and thats what woke him up cause shortly after he started whining, the dog came strolling out of his room. So my normal quiet time isn't so quiet anymore. Its 6:35 and I have the dog roaming around and DS and DH playing next to me.

Jacque** I have a little bit of DOMS going on in my legs but not my abs (yet). My UB is super sore from 4DSUB though. Im wondering what I will feel like if I follow a rotation in Oct month. I was reading some threads yesterday re:the dread factor and how some people couldn't follow the rotation. I can see why there is a dread factor involved. Im not so sure I could do this workout first thing in the morning. Although I did think that I would have to today b/c DS woke up when I did. Yesterday he just sat there while I worked out. During one of the jumping moves he decided to come over and join me:D

That catches me up with personals!So I am going to do a run shortly. Im not sure if I will go outside or just down stairs on the TM.

Happy Friday Y'all ! ! !

Well the pup needed to go out about 2 AM so here I am awake still ! :confused: Didn't get my hair dried "correctly" after I washed it last night cuz DS1 was on the phone for 1 1/2 hrs so guess I'll straighten it at 4 AM and get it done ! :eek: Perhaps I'll get tired enough for some quick shut eye before work. Then again I won't be able to workout after work tonight - first preseason hockey game - so ? ? ?

Lori - I haven't really had any ab DOMS from Insanity. I try hard to keep them tight but it's hard when I need to breathe so hard just trying to keep oxygenated ! :eek: Hope your run goes well and DS takes a nap later since he's up so early ! LOL at him jumping with you. I just love those stories and some of the pics others have posted. I'd not take that Insanity post to heart - I really felt like it flew by much faster yesterday. The one that is a killer is Pure Cardio because he doesn't actually stop for a break - you just need to take one when you need it.

Well I had a bitty bite to eat since my stomach was a talkin' to me since I'm not sleeping - off to try to get a couple more winks in.

Good Morning Girls. :)

Today is PCC and perhaps an upper body work out. Tmrw will be a run and a lower body work. Sunday will be my rest day and then Monday I start my recovery week. I'm going to alternate doing some ab work as well as a few upper and lower body splits during recovery since again, it's mostly cardio. I figure now's the time to get brave and do some lower body stuff while I have the chance. I haven't done any with Insanity outside of what's in the SS work outs and I miss it! I might nix one session of the recovery work out next (there are 6 total) and put a run in it's place. If all goes as planned I am slated to begin month 2 on Monday the 28th! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Portion control didn't exactly go as planned last night and I also had a Coors Light for an appetizer (LOL) and a big p/b cookie for dessert but I didn't walk away from the meal feeling overly full or gross or anything and am only up 1/2 a pound this morning from it and not really feeling any guilt at all. :)

Lori:: Leave it to you to do a month 2 Insanity work out first time out of the gate. I hate you! :p We had keilbasa and pierogies for dinner last night. It was awfully yummy! :D

Jacque:: I'm sorry you are having trouble sleeping. I've had issues the past 2 nights myself. I'll get in bed and fall asleep quickly for about 15 minutes but then I wake up and have a helluva time getting back to sleep. UGH. Hate when that happens. Did you try counting sheep? LOL

Time to get DS off to school now. I have today off so I'll be popping in and out all morning long. Hope someone comes by early to keep me company! ;)

Ok....now that I have that out of my system. I had a good workout this a.m. My whole bod is kinda aching from yesterday so I did a 6 mile run on the TM. I thought I would get some leg work in there as well but I ran out of time. I did CC#7 but I cut the last challenge short.

Jacque** I should have sent DS to your house;) You could have kept each other company. And boy, was he moody before we left for the sitters! I wonder why? Im hoping he will have a nap today b/c he won't be fit by the time we pick him up. I hope you are getting some shut eye as I type this:)

Wendy** So you didn't do to to bad at your moms? Being invited to the inlaws is the same thing. There was a point in time when my MIL would watch everything I ate, or didn't eat. I think it was after I had DS and lost alot of weight. I dont know if she thought I wasn't eating or if she was jealous:rolleyes: She as eased up now and Im not sure if thats b/c I gained some of the weight back or she just gave up watching me. My mother asked me the other day if I ever gain weight:confused: After she spends an hour with DS she realizes why I don't.

Must go do some work!

Good morning girls!

Is it a bad sign when your first meal of the day is coffee and three advil? I'm not dying but I had the pain in thetop of my foot again and some stiffness in my neck and shoulder from GS shoulders the other night. I didn't want it interfering with my workout today so I "warmed up" with the advil. It did the trick, because I managed to get my butt out to the garage for CPR :D

Scale is down about a pound and a half since I started Insanity. It's cool, I'll take it ;)

Lori: Talk about being baptized by fire :eek: I can't believe you started with a month 2 workout. I haven't even looked at those yet. This first month is really kicking my butt. The week starts off strong but by the end of the week I'm practically crawling through these workouts. But I'm passionately *hearting* him so much that I just keep begging him to bring on the pain ;)

Jacque: Sorry to hear you're having some insomnia :( Hope you were able to catch a few more zzzzs before work today. I haven't had a day since I started this workout that my legs haven't been exhausted. It has made climbing stairs a feat.

Wendy: You ARE Insane! How can you even consider a lower body workout right now?

I never got Triceps in last night because I realized after I got home and changed into my workout clothes that it was curriculum night for my daughter's class so I had to go to the school. I'm hoping ot get in both bi's and tri's tonight after work though.

K, 'spose I should produce a bit of work today, huh? Will be checking in though!

Mornin' Girls,

Well it looks like I'm the odd gal out with no workout to report for today! I'm so tired and have an early meeting this morning...in fact, I shouldn't even be here.:D We've been a chatty bunch this morning...love it.

I bought DH an Ipod Touch for our anniversary. He's the only one that doesn't have an ipod...and every now and then he would jokingly say "I don't have an ipod". I chose the touch because he's a FB junkie and thought he would like wi-fi and movie features. He was able to copy my playlist to his so he would have some music to start with. It's very cool, I want one now.

Lori-Wow missy, you were up early today and already have your w/o done! Nice motivation to get me to the rec ctr later today. Can't believe you already tried a month 2 w/o-a little INSANE dontcha think!

Jacque-Sorry about the lack of sleep. I hate when that happens. The past couple of days I just left my hair curly, I don't have time to blow out and straighten everyday. I just pull the top part up and put a butterfly clip in. Glad to hear DS and family are moving much closer. Is Colorado/Denver on the Eggland's tour? Do you know what the date is? Would love to have you come to CO, we could tour the Coors facilility, they have a tasting room and the end of the tour.

Wendy-not much you can do about keilbasa, DH loves it but we don't have too often. Enjoy your day off...

Jen-Nice to hear that you are feeling better after the way the day started off! Good job on the weight loss! I think these workouts are doing their job as far as I can tell. I'm definitely more tired towards the end of the week.

HHMMM, it's 7:30 and I have an 8:30 meeting this morning. I'm stalling...I need to get showered and get my butt to work!

WOOHOOO TGIF Ladies

So gotta story for ya: I was right .. walked into class last night had about 10 guys lined up on the back wall :eek: SIL was rolling . . she said the guy that came TUE went and told his friends how hard my class was they ragged him about it and didnt beleive him so he made them come to class {insert evil grin} .. I have to admit it was a bit nervewracking b/c I had not had that much testosterone in my class EVER :confused: then in walk two young girls they brought along :p .. I started my warm w/the usual 60 jacks .. 1/2 way thru they slowed down the one that came Tue said "hey dudes .. this is just the warm up she hasnt even started" :p so they did pretty good the first few set of plyos .. but the leg work in between KILLED them (w/no weight even?) . . 20 min in they were drenched and gasping 1/2 @$$ doing the plyos .. then 30 min in the burpees (I do 20 reps) 1/2 way thru some were on the floor .. some were trying ..the girls gave up .. they started making comments like "this is killing me .. my legs are dead .. this is harder than what I expected .. how much more" {{insert evil laughter }} .. the pushups I tried to make them do on the toes ..OH NO . they couldnt they did them on their knees and couldnt do all the reps (I do about 6 different set of pushups in between plyo work) .. at the end CORE .. they were spent ..could not do it .. they were making loud strange grunting sounds and breathing sounds :confused: .. at the end they thanked me said they were not going to be able to move and it was nothing like they expected .. some said they would be back TUE :eek: .. SIL high fived me after class and said "once again you kicked the kids @$$E$" ... :rolleyes::D:D:p:p and I didnt do anyting different . it was my reg. plyo class ....told DH .. his only comment between the laughter was 'you mean they could acutally do some of it" :)

soooooooooo I feel a sense of accomplishment .. today SIL and I are meeting at lunch and doing cardio recovery! Then I will go home clean out car and get ready for tmrw trip ..wooohooo .. wish me good winnings!! :D

Lori .. you crazy strong INSANE girl .. leave it to you to skip right to month 2 .. :confused: .. only YOU!!!!! you gotta try the first the plyo circuits .. that one is THE HARDEST ...

Wendy .. I had several coors lights last night (victory CABS) DH cooked FRIED chicken .. had a small peice and some butter beans ... I have not got on the scale since INSANITY .. but feeling smaller :confused: .. not going to weigh till after all my b-day celebrating though .. LOL!!

Jacque .. GO SHARKS!! I dont even know why I bother w/my hair b/c it has been raining nonstop the humidity is around 98% .. does NO good to straighten .. ugh!!!

Jen ... I popped and advil this morning too .. have a few stiff DOMS .. not bad .. just heavy and stiff .. sure cardio recovery will work it out though .. LOL

Di .. ooohhh I have been looking at the touch IPODS .. they are neat .. but cant warrant buying one b/c I dont use mine that much .. but what a nice gift ... and you are not the only one w/o a w/o to report .. I NEVER do a morning workout .. think I am the one usually bringing up the rear!!

OK .. I have rambled long enough .. have a great TGIF ..and you gals gotta exercise some for me this weekend .. I will be being bad .. drinking and gambling and eating :D:p .. have a great one!

Well I've done just about everything but work out so far this morning! :confused:

Eaten twice-check
Washed the hard floors-check
Picked up the mess in the bedroom-check
Vacuumed the first floor rugs-check
Bleached the bathroom-check

I'll get to that work out though...don't you worry! Be back after it's done!:D
 
My goodness...it's now officially afternoon and STILL no work out for me! :eek: If it weren't for the cleaning I did this morning, I'd say this day is shaping up to be a big waste!:rolleyes: So I thought about going food shopping straight from dropping Joey off at school. I should have but I didn't. Now I have to take him with me AFTER school and that's not always fun. :confused:

Getting ready to do my work out. Should be huffin' n puffin' to the likes of PCC by about 12:30! :D:eek:;) My thoughts of doing any weight work today are no longer possible since I waited so long to work out. If I didn't have to food shop I could do it this afternoon but oh well. Maybe later after DH gets home but probably not. :p

Lori:: I think your MIL is/was just jealous! ;)

Jen:: Um...well...I hate to say this but my legs are fine. Really. Don't get me wrong, they burn like crazy during the work outs but no DOMS to speak of so I can't see why I couldn't do lower body especially during the recovery week. Of course my legs are tired as evidenced by my ridiculously slow runs but that's different from being sore IMO. I'm really looking forward to hitting lower body!

Diana:: Yay for DH's new Ipod touch! I originally wanted a touch when I got my ipod for Christmas a couple years back but decided it wasn't the best choice since I'd be using it primarily to run with. I never cook keilbasa around here! I'll cook italian sausage. Sometimes I'll eat it, sometimes I won't. Recently tried a chicken sausage that was excellent! Ofcourse when I went back to buy it again the following week I couldn't find it. :( So didja' make it to your meeting on time?

Laura:: Funny about the youngens not being able to keep up in your class! WTG Laura! :D Good luck n win big! Glad you feel smaller. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised when you finally decide to weigh in!

Okay, now it's officially PAST 1230 and I don't even my work out clothes on yet! DAMNIT I am such a loser today! LOL

Hi ladies,

I'll have you know I made it to my meeting in just the knick of time! I would've been here sooner if there weren't so many slow pokes on the road. Of course DH says I shouldn't blame others for my being late, I should simply get up earlier, leave earlier etc. His fav comment is "you wouldn't always be speeding if you left earlier"!

I have an unexpected meeting from 1-2:30 that will take up my w/o time. What do you girls think, should I do the recovery disc I missed yesterdary (tonight) or just pick back up with whatever the next cardio w/o is?

Laura-You're one tough cookie....glad the boys' were strugglin' to keep up with you and your class! What a great accomplishment for you. One of the male marathon runners here at work said he couldn't keep up in his wife's aerobic class. He said it was really hard and gave him a new respect of aerobics. I use my nano all the time. I can listen to it at my desk, use it when I go to the gym or on my walks.

Wendy-Wow, you've cleaned the house and completed your w/o. I absolutely am missing the weights and feel like I could lower body weights no problem. As far as another round of the X goes, count me in. I still need to get my X w/o's back from my trainer. I haven't been able to get to bootcamp the last couple of times due to Jerod's football. It would be end of October/first of November before I could start. Also under consideration is another round of STS.

Time to prepare for another meeting...on a Friday..who's planning this stuff???
 
OMG, is this day ever going to end???

Diana: I agree...who the heck plans this stuff? Don't they know that Fridays are not for meetings? Nobody wants to be there...you can't tell me they're all that productive :rolleyes: Not that I can talk. I always have Friday meetings :rolleyes: But that's what the court says, and what the court says goes ;) I say do the Recovery workout. It's there for a reason.

Laura: I have to give you props for leading that class! I would be seriously intimidated :eek: Good for you! Betcha have some new regulars, too. Early Happy Birthday to you (right?) and ((((((GOOD LUCK)))))) vibes strongly sent your way! Win BIG, will ya?

Wendy: You are right, it's not DOMS so much as it is fatigue, but I do know that if I did a leg workout I'd end up with DOMS, and then there's no way I could do these workouts like that. More power to you, though :p;):D And though you may not have to ever look at PCC again, you know you will, and I can tell you exactly when...while you're doing the X. I'm already considering subbing Tony's cardio with Insanity and I think I'm going to end up with an Insanity/X hybrid.

Well, that just helped me kill 15 minutes. What to do now? I still have an hour and 45 minutes of this day to go...:rolleyes:

I am soooooooooo ready to get out of here ... we have sun outside and I am itchin to take part in it .. looks like it will rain by the time I leave here though .. only 1 hour 15 minutes till freedom .. come on 5 O'clock bell .. ring allready!!!:confused:

I am thinking SIL and I are wanting and X / INSANITY mix ... we talked about adding in different UB X workouts w/the INSANITY w/o .. starting next week .. of course we wont have a "rotation" per say .. just try to work one UB X and 1 Insanity ... or UB X and my class .. then we want ONE day to do heavy legs in the gym .. probably gonna have to be a FRI b/c that is the only "free" day we have .. will be tuff .. but think we can manage something . . we kinda play it by ear anyways!!!

Wendy .. wooohooo on no more PCC .. BUT .. my guessing is the month 2 w/o is going to be worse :confused: :( :eek: ... thanks for telling me about the recovery week .. sure SIL wont want to take it ... but we will and concentrate on weight work maybe ??

I have same problem .. getting up earlier does not help .. b/c I always manage to piddle around the house cleaning or picking up then I usually end up LATER ..?? dont get it .. sometimes I can leave later and get to work earlier .. ?? .. school traffic ?? or maybe just the way it goes .. LOL .. but I cant get up earlier . . and certainly would not if I were like ya'll and working out in the morning . . YIKES .. I would never get to work .. LOL!!! me and my friend (who lives opposite directions) are usually squealing tires rounding into parking lot at the same time every morning :eek:

OK .. one hour 10 min. now .. PLLLLLLLEEEAAAASSSEEE come on 5 oclock!! have a great weekend girlies .... :cool:
 
Oh my gosh, am I tired!!!! I went from house cleaning to PCC to food shopping/putting groceries away and cleaning out the fridge straight into cooking dinner and cleaning up after. I took a bit to get goin' this morning but I haven't stopped ever since! :eek: DS wants me to lay down with him and watch cartoons but I'm afraid to cause I might fall asleep and it's only 7:15! LOL

Hope everyone is having a good night. I'll catch up in the morning!
