The World's Strongest Boy

I already set the Tivo for this one. The preview looked a little creepy and I'm just naturally drawn to that kind of stuff. That little kid had a six pack!
 
I've seen Little Hercules before. Something very odd about a child that young with muscle (how can it be natural, since boys don't develop testosterone at that young an age?)
 
I saw him a few years ago on Howard Stern, and was surprised to see him "pop up" on TV again. He trains so much...he claims he loves it. Now he's got workout videos out for kids, and a movie deal, I think. Personally, I think his parents have found a way of exploiting him for money.
 
Abc ran a story on this kid earlier this year. His father was the one that started him in bodybuilding. He made special shakes with God knows what inside (the speculation is they were loaded with anabolic steroids). At 12 the kid didn't have any friends his age he was always surrounded by adults: his father, his mother, his promoters, etc. And his hobbies were only kickboxing (for fatloss not for fun) and bodybuilding. His father is now in jail and by a court order he can no longer workout with weights until he's older (lifting weights at that age can stunt growth). Now he lives with his mother (they stopped any kind of relationship with the father), he goes to school, and has friends his age.
 
I was flipping through the channels and caught a glimpse of the ad (on A&E, I think) and I thought it was a joke. I thought someone had taken a child's head and superimposed it on someone else's (an older child's, probably a teen's) body. It's hard to believe someone so young can have the musculature of someone more mature. I grew up with three boys, and their muscle definition didn't start showing 'til around age 15, and they were all active in sports since childhood.

I just saw a thing on this poor boy and it was so sad. An abusive father who was making money off of his son is a bit of the background. He does seem to be doing better as the parents are divorced and his life is more normal now.
 
Yes, this is a sad story. The father is serving time in prison for abuse. This is a very bizarre but interesting story.
