The things we do for love....

Just wondering what kind of silly things you do to make your loved ones happy? I find myself using the blow-dryer to warm my daughters clothes and PJ's up before she puts them on. Actually, I did it to my workout shorts this morning - it really does make them much cozier when it's only 65 degrees in the house!

Well I try to have the dog fed and the wood heater ready to burn wood for the night and also try to have enough wood in the wood box so that he doesn't have to do it when he gets home, cause I know he is tired........... besides its a good workout to get the wood in... Rhonda

Donna - I do the exact same thing with my daughter's clothes. And I put her pj's over the heating vent at night while she's in the tub so they'll be warm when she puts them on. Same with her mittens. I love making her smile.

I do the chicken dance with my son, snapping fingers, sashaying butt and all.

I also recite his favorite lines from Disney movies with him: "Prepare to die, Buzz Lightyear..." "Not today, Zurg!"

I'm a chicken dancer too! Living in Buffalo, it's a required knowledge (very high Polish population). I taught my daughter it a few weeks ago and she just loves it. She went to her first rollerskating party last weekend, so I did the Chicken Dance and the Hokie Pokie on skates with her. Talk about a trip down Memory Lane!

I kind of always hated the Chicken Dance, but seeing my little 4 year old do it...there's a whole new appreciation for it!

DH loves for me to get his food or make him something to eat. When we go to his moms for dinner (and his sister is home) she will laugh at me b/c I am taking up his dinner. And I don't mind doing it.Its not that he is lazy b/c then I would make him get it himself but he just enjoys me getting it for him.
And he does his share as well.He will run a bath for me or bring me home a dessert or something.
