The Swiss Gigolo

So what do you guys think of this man? Just goes to show you no matter how nice looking someone is they can still be ugly. I hope he gets buggered every day in jail, & twice on Sundays.;):D

But then, he's pretty much a male prostitute so maybe he wouldn't mind if he got favors in return.

OTOH, I'm having trouble feeling sorry for this women, b/c she was married after all.

MUNICH - A man dubbed "the Swiss gigolo" by the German media was sentenced to six years in prison Monday for defrauding Germany's richest woman of $9 million and attempting to blackmail her for tens of millions more.
Helg Sgarbi admitted to the Munich court that he threatened to release secretly recorded videotapes of trysts with BMW heiress Susanne Klatten, 46, unless the married woman gave him millions of euros (dollars) to keep quiet.
The 44-year-old also admitted persuading Klatten to give him $9 million by saying it was for the treatment of a girl left paraplegic after he hit her with his car.

He's not even pretty on the outside!

Honestly, this guy is no hunk in my estimate. Klatten, on the other hand, is rather pretty.

That guy doesn't look like anything could change him, including jail. Did you see that smug smile on his face in the court?

It reminds me of Greg Isles's latest book--can't remember the name off the top of my head, & I never finished it. About a woman who cheated on her husband w/"the love of her life." Hubby found out & imprisoned her in her house. She was supposed to be the protagonist but I found myself hating her & siding w/her hubby so I couldn't finish the book. :p

Heh. :D I'd probably have the same reaction.

Have you ever seen "The Painted Veil"? The story is a bit similar: Wife cheats, broken-hearted husband punishes...and you don't blame him one bit. It's Hollywood though, so in the end, they both learn from their mistakes.

That sounds really familiar, but I don't think I've seen it. I would say I'll rent it, but it sounds like it'd piss me off. :p My dad told me this book ended w/the hubby being killed by her lover. And I think the reader is supposed to be glad.

Maybe it makes me mad b/c I can't get a date, much less a husband. :D

:D Liann

Laura, it turned out to be a great movie. And believe me, I hated the wife from the start. She was such a freakin' brat.

I can't say much more because then I'll ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but the husband really does get back at her in a big way. She suffers, he suffers, and both eventually find redemption.

Here's the trailer
