the "superdrink" acai

Anyone heard of it? Used it?

Just read a glowing article on it in People and wonder if any of us "real folks" can attest to its greatness.

From Brazil, a berry drink full of vitamins, etc. etc.

Sounds interesting, but before I go in search of it . . .

any thoughts?

RE: the

I've never heard of it. I HAVE heard of (and have used) goji berries (the dried, not the juice, but I put them in smoothies) and Mangosteen. They are particularly healthy.

RE: the

I've seen acai smoothies at a new place that just opened up near me called Robeks. They supposedly sell healthier foods - smoothies, wraps, salads, etc. Unfortunately, all their smoothies have frozen yogurt in them so they are higher in sugar than they could be. Anyway, the next time I want a "treat", I'm going to try one of the acai ones - it supposedly tastes like a mix of chocolate and berries. You can check out their website and see if there's a location near you.
