Has anyone seen it? I watched the whole series....and thought it was great. I did the methods...and still have a huge gag factor over my weakness or binge food (chocolate). I cannot for the life of me think of putting it towards my mouth... And I did the method 3 months ago! Wow.....

RE: The show

I saw part of two different episodes quite a few months ago and thought it was very interesting and motivating at the time, but haven't seen it enough to put any of the methods to use, I already forgot them. :) Oops.

RE: The show

OMG! I saw this show and still cannot eat my favorite--whipped cream! The method totally works you guys, it really, really does.

RE: The show

I didn't want to lose weight. I just wanted to stop fighting the urges and feeling prisoner to my Hershey's bars...especially smeared in peanut butter! OH MY gosh...that was my weakness. But, the thought of it...just makes me want to hurl. Literally, right now...just thinking about it is gaging me. I gotta stop talking about it. I also used the method for margarita's. I was sooo enjoying way too many of them...but since then cut back (using the I can take it or leave it) method for Margaritas. I tell you this...the margarita's are NOT near as good to me as they were. Just imagining hair in your food or spit in your drinks....REALLY does stick with you. It's a lot like...when you got sick on a certain food...and you can't touch that food for years and years...because of the horrible memory it brings. Well...this parallels that theory (in my opinion).

The method does work! I am a testimony to it!!!

Like I said...I wasn't trying to lose weight...I just wanted to control my REALLY bad weaknesses (and I endulged a lot)....but since then I DID lose 9 pounds from the combination of no margaritas and NO chocolate. I didn't use the peanut butter in my method. I need...REALLY NEED that protein ...giggle...

RE: The show

It's a show that was on TLC. It's a 6 series show....GREAT! I don't know if it's still airing or not. But, here is Pauls website: http://www.mckenna.com. The "4 golden rules" are vital. And then the other methods...are what you use to detour you from your sinful foods! Holy cow....if it's not aired on tv, you can buy the series on DVD. It's pricey...but it works! It did for me! Oh, I found this for
TLC: http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/make-you-thin/make-you-thin.html I hope it is still airing. I have mine DVRed.
Either way...let me know if you watched it! It works if you put your mind where it needs to be when the mental and tapping techniques are done.

RE: The show

Basically this is what you do if I remember right.

Holding your thumb and middle finger together on your left hand picture your trigger food. Now picture that food covered in something totally disgusting like hair, vomit, spit, whatever, worms....keep holding that thumb and finger together while doing this. Now picture taking a fork and digging into this disgusting pile of food, eat it, taste how gross is it, til you feel physically ill. This takes a little practice but it works.

When you get this physical sensation of total disgust, stop. Now think about your trigger food and hold your thumb and middle finger together and you should get an immediate feeling of disgust.

On your right hand hold your thumb and middle finger together. Now picture in your mind something that makes you feel safe, calm, centered and happy. Add colors and happy emotions to this feeling...concentrate on it until you feel totally enveloped in happiness and warmth. For me its that feeling I get when I snuggle with DH. Now everytime you crave your trigger food, press your left thumb and finger together to create that feeling of disgust and then press your right thumb and finger together to get that feeling peace and happiness.

It utilizes and addresses both the physical and emotional reasons we eat our trigger foods and it works! It really does. I still will not go near whipped cream.

RE: The show

The mind is a powerful tool, I need to use it more.
I bet I could do amazing things. If I can train myself to dislike sweets and goodies.
There is no telling what I can do.;-) :+
