The pictures you've all been waiting for...

Those look fantastic! Don't you love the feeling of accomplishment when you do home improvements? It just makes coming home that much better.

Chastity - The "pumpkin" bathroom is paint from Lowes. It is Olympic Semi-gloss "BC-6 Spicy Nutmeg".

The upstairs bathroom is also Olympic Semi-gloss from Lowes. It is called "C36-6 Merlot". :)

Thanks guys!!!

Does the darker color make the room feel too small? Closed in? or Cozy?

Love the pictures. The pumpkin spice one is my favorite. Actually my MIL has one of her bathrooms done very similarly to yours. When you described it in the weekend thread, I didn't realize it. However, seeing the pictures it really does look like it. She also did the wrought iron accents and has the same faucet. I love that you aren't scared to use color.

When I lived at home, my mom refused to paint any rooms an actual color because she was afraid it would make the room look small. I grew up with that fear that dark bold color = small dark room. My husband really got me out of that mind set. Neither of these bathrooms look small. It's all about the accents and decorations. We have bright white ceilings and trim in both bathrooms. I chose stark white accents for the Merlot room - white cabinet over toilet, bright white shower curtain, etc... All those contrasting accents really brighten it up. And it is a small bathroom, so it's not like I could possibly make it look any smaller. ;) The Pumpkin bathroom is sooo homey and comfey with the new color. We have a HUGE mirror on the one wall and candles on the shelf under it. I probably wouldn't be brave enough to do a dark color in a bedroom though. I think that would make my bedrooms look too small. I usually stick with off colors - cremes, tan, beige for the bedrooms. I love bold colors in the bathroom and kitchen though. You've got to have a little fun! ;)

Really gorgeous. I would never have thought of the pumpkin color, but I love it! Love the faucet too.
