The Office

Who caught this last night? OMGosh!!! Dan and I were cracking up the whole half hour! I am so upset that Jim didn't say anything when Pam told him that she didn't understand Roy. I wanted to throw something at him through the t.v. And the closing of the show was classic with Dwight's whole "don't worry, Michael, I am taking us to shore!" bit. Everything that comes out of his mouth is pure comedy!
What did you guys think?

Missy

I loved it! I thought it was the best yet. I am dying for Jim & Pam to get together already. I love them, they are sooo cute!!! She needs to dump her loser fiance!!

I loved Michael's dancing and Dwight's "sailing". haha! Those two are tools. I loved Michael's advice to Jim at the end though. He seemed almost cool for a second.

That is what I said! He almost seemed like he was a real person, not the narcisist at all. I feel so sorry for him most of the time, he tries so hard and just falls flat on his butt!

I wonder what Jim will do now to try to win Pam over. They are totally meant for each other! I loved the teapot on the Christmas episode. Someone shoot Roy, please! He is flirting with Jim's date only minutes before he sets a wedding date? http://www.smileys.ws/smls/bank/00000002.gif

Yes, honeybunches, you have to start watching! It is the funniest 30 minutes of my week! It is based off the british hit, and the humor is all very dry - just my style!

When is the show come on?

Thursday's at 9:30. I love it! It is so incredibly unpolitically correct, and the acting is GREAT! I want to get the first season on DVD. Everyone in the show, the actors that is, help write the show. Very funny!

Missy

I got the first season on DVD this week. Definitely get it. I love this show! It is my favorite show on TV right now by far. My Name is Earl is okay, but I can't see why it seams to get so much more hype than the Office.

I loved the teapot in the Christmas episode too. Those two are just so funny together with all the practical jokes they play on other people and all the flirting.

Did you notice that Phyllis was topless again under her life preserver?

I love this show! I unfortunately missed last nights episode, I will catch it on the reruns! I think it portrays some work environments so accurately (sad to say!), Dh's boss is Michael almost to a T.

I bought Dh the 1st season on DVD, hilarious! :7

What are the bonus features like on the DVD? You know, DH noticed that she was topless again, too! I looked for the Christmas Party picture on the web but could't find it - I am a perv, yes I know. :p

I can see a lot of offices being like that. DH's office is definitely disfunctional! Let's see, in his office there is a Phyllis, a Stanley (hehehe!), a Kevin (YUCK!!!), a Jim sans crush, a male version of Merideth, and fortunately no Angela (he left last year, thank goodness, I couldn't stand him!). Blech! Oh, and there is a Dwight, but a toned down version. And he isn't a virgin still, either! :+ Oh, and there is a Pam, as well! :) That is really sad when I sit here and think about it.... :( Oh, well, it makes for one heck of a show, doesn't it? :D

Missy

I haven't had a chance to check out the bonus feautures yet. If I do this weekend, I'll let you know.

I used to have a boss that reminds me of Michael. Yuck, it makes my stomache churn just thinking about some of the things he said.

I missed last night's episode, but this is a great show. If you get a chance, check out the deleted scene on NBC's web site. Hysterical!

I really enjoy this show. But I absolutely LOVE the BBC version. It is 10 times more cringe-worthy and the boss character is just hilarious. They can get away with a lot more than the US version.

It was only on for two seasons and is out on DVD. I highly recommend renting it if you haven't seen it yet! If you can, get the one that has both seasons packaged together because it comes with a special episode that caught up on everyone's lives 2 years later. It's worth it - you will want to find out if the Pam and Jim characters (Tim and Dawn) get together.

Missy,
We don't get The Office here but this Xmas my DH's brother got us the first season on DVD ... funny stuff! I can't wait for season 2 to come out on DVD!
Cath :)
