The No Sweets check-in - Monday, June 6, 2005

fox2star,

Here's a link to the fudgesicles I bought. I like the all chocolate the best, but the swirl's not bad either.

As far as this weekend, I did pretty good. We went to a large water park and I had packed a picnic with healthy turkey, etc. My trouble came on Saturday when my 5 year old asked me to eat the raisins off his Little Debbie raisin cake. I didn't stop with the 5 raisins on top. I had to nip the edge of the cake itself. On Sunday, he got smart and picked the raisins off himself and handed them to me, saying that he didn't want me to eat any of his cake!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA - Sarah, that's so cute that he picked the raisins off. That sounds exactly like something my daughter would do:)

I don't have any sugar-free PB at home and I don't wanna spend money on new PB until the bad PB is gone. I want that sammich! :(

I knoooowwww, but it's like an industrial sized can of peanut butter and I'm afraid I'll start eating and not be able to stop until I hit the bottom. Darn you, Mr. Peanut!!!

My Monday lunch buddy offered me my usual 1/2 of a no bake cookie. I TURNED IT DOWN!!! She was in shock and I think I am still! She even offered "just a bite" and I still said no. This is astounding for me.

I am off to a retirement party where the cake is the one that I am making right now. For some reason it doesn't even look good to me!

No sweets for me today. Made it, not even tempted. I think I am still coming off the sugar from Saturday when it was no holds barred. Who cares what the reason is, it sure is nice for a change.

During my hike yesterday (10 miles) I ate a small handful of dark chocolate M&M's. Other than that, the weekend and today have been "sweet-free"!!

I am surviving through another day. I think what makes it a wee bit easier is the fact that I have to come here and face y'all. I really don't want to face the Cathe Tribunal and fess up that I slipped!

Tammy

I had ONE chocolate-covered cashew. DH brought them home, shame on him! But I only had one. I hope I will not be punished for my sinful ways. :(

To the person who turned down the no-bake cookie (can't remember who that was) - way to go! I don't think I could have resisted. I love no-bake cookies more than life itself! :9

Hey I feel the same way Tammy. Everytime I was tempted I would hear cathes ladies saying You don't want that cookie. It is like everyone hear is a support group for each other. Knowing I have to checkin makes it easy on me also.

I survived today so far, don't think I will be doing anymore eating tonight.

By the way, does anyone know of any thing we can have for next month. I will be here till july 3, then off to beach. Listen at me already thinking about that. But I wish some would start coming up with some ideas.

Whatever you do, please, please, please nobody suggest giving up caffeine. I would just have to be shot.

I'm with you on that one...there is no way in hell I could go without coffee. I tried to cut back a few weeks ago...I lasted a half day!

Made it through the retirement party. I didn't eat well (a hot dog, of all things!, and some pasta salad and a few chips and salsa). They didn't have water, so I had some orange drink, also not good for me. BUT I didn't touch the dessert table and it all looked very, very good. There was a banana thing with vanilla and banana pudding topped with crumbled NutterButters and peanuts. It looked delicious!

Still can't believe we are doing this! We are awesome!
