The No Sweets Check-In - June 14, 2005

>But maybe they have cake at the looney bin.......

But I wouldn't be able to eat any of it because of this *&#$$%& No-Sweets Challenge. Who's idea was this anyway???? *glares in Shelley's direction*

;) :p

EWWW Emily, Charlotts has taught you well! I may never eat anything again after that..YEAH RIGHT:) Anyway I have been doing well. I have however noticed an increase in my diet soda intake. Oh well Shelley said no SUGAR not no diet soda! That should be my challenge for next month though. Think of the money i would save! I could buy more work out stuff!

It's amazing how this thing spiralled from me telling Angie I was giving up cookies for June to a full blown no sweets millions of people checking in challenge! Soon I'll be getting death threats *glances pointedly at Evily*

I can see it now - "Your honour, I had to kill her because she was all that stood between me and this delicious chocolate chip cookie."

No jury in the world would convict you. Maybe you'd get MJ's jury.:p

Ok I know this is not part of "No Sweets" but talking about not eating cake again.

Emily you mention thinking about the cake being wormy and all, well last night I was speaking to a young man at the gym and somehow got on the subject of workers in the restaurants and what he said to me makes me NEVER want to eat out again. I know all restaurants are not clean, but when he said that the oil that fries fish, chicken and so on is left out all night long and things are left in there with droppings from the ceiling, the mice....eeeeewwww, then the oil is used the next day for fries, meats, what have you gets cooked in that disgusting oil.....oh my I just turned my stomach.

When I was 19, I worked at Burger King and the girl who worked with me could not find the ladel to scoop out the milkshake, so she put her entire arm in the container and scooped out the shake and placed in the refrigerator.....

Ok I'll stop now.

BTW, I've cheated once, but am making up for it.

Ugh, Haydee, that's really gross! I've waitressed in a lot of places and have seen some not-so-clean-practices but nothing like that!

Angie

Ok I'm going to start with a **hug** for all of you who are going through tough times this week and for all of you who are about to eat something that's not healthy.

I did pretty well today (I can't say that about yesterday and last Sunday though, but I'm back on my feet again). Day 14. This is unbelievable. I want to thank our little "no sweets" group for being here. :* :* :*

No sweets so far... I am starving and sitting here like an idiot typing instead of getting my dinner ready!!

Shelley/Lunacat -- your willpower amazes me.

Angie - I want to work where you do!

Dallas - I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Haydee - I use to enjoy eating out!!! :9

This thread was so much fun today... makes me smile after a long day. :D

Have resisted those powdered doughnuts my daugher go from the store. These things are calling my name everytime I step into that kitchen. But I just ignore. Ha! Ha!

Fixing dinner now and can't wait till I sink my teeth into the watermelon in the fridge. Now it is actually singing to me. I'm Crazy!!!

See ya,

kim

Another good day for me...although I am craving something sweet. So, I came here to catch up on all of the posts you sweet people made today.

Shelley, you sound blue...sending happy vibes your way. I hope everything works out. In the meantime, hang in there, we are all here for you.

Tammy

Well survived the powdered doughnuts. After dinner at me a piece of watermelon. I was so good and cold and sweet. So today I resisted sweets. Just have 16 days to go.

Just wondering was there still a thought of increasing water intake and personal fitness goal next month? I think these challenges motivate and helps us to succeed.
