The "moving max' workout- Ugh!

So, the past three weeks have been spent prepping my house for sale! Holy moly! How on EARTH did we manage to fill up so much space?!?!? So, major change of plans i.e. the new place for us to live. We are heading back to California- to Carlsbad where we came from. We have friends there, know the area and I think the climate will benefit my DS much more than staying in Colorado. I'll miss my friends, but I have to do what is right for my son's health. His eczema has continued to get worse- despite our stint at National Jewish. I believe the single digit humidity and extreme weather swings are hurting him more than helping. So, the sea air, temperate climate & consistant moderate humidity will help him to get healthy again.

Clean up & clear out and definitely downsize! California here we come!!

I'm living through hell right along here with you! We have just bought a house and are moving in this coming weekend. What I don't understand is, why my husband insisted on hoarding in the garage for the past 7 years all the broken shit I am now having to haul out of it and throw away.

I want to take 70% of what we have here and toss the lot. I sense a blitz coming on......

OMG, Clare! You're moving this weekend?!?!? Lots of energy comin' your way. It's funny how moving makes us ruthless!!! What in the h**l was I thinking moving some of this stuff sooo many times!?!? I mean seriously- some of our 'junk' should have frequent flyer miles!!! I'd be RICH!! Soooo many trips to Good-will, pick-ups from charities and countless bags the garbage guys have taken! It's unreal!! We are moving to a place less than half this size and I welcome the opportunity to lighten up!

Next time I move I'm throwing out everything not related to my Cathe stuff and starting over. We still have crap in boxes (still PACKED!!!) that we hauled with us from Michigan to North Carolina 18 years ago .
I wish you much happiness in your future, Pam! Go out there and conquer the West!!!
