Well, mine are about the same as yours, except I say mine to my husband, who is my only child. Make of that what you will . . .

sit still, be still, stop wiggling.

leave the dog alone, quit bugging the dog, stop with the dog

i heard you, i heard you the 1st time, i heard you the 2nd time, STOP! I heard you

lets go, put your shoes on, lets gooooooo, put your shoes on, lets gooooooo

feed the dog - dinners almost ready, did you feed the dog? - feed the dog, go wash up - what? you didn't feed the dog, go feed the dog - dinner IS ready

Nan

Put your toys away... please put your toys away... You're going to trip on your toys if you don't put them away... You fell down? It's because you didn't put your toys away...

I also repeat the "get your shoes on, we have to go" line too...

Lots of times it's just getting my daughter's attention: Megan, Megan, Megan, honey. Meg!

Oh yeah- you all reminded me of the get your shoes on oh and the famous did you brush your teeth, and get back to bed..... those examples cracked me up!! A-Jock- how funny about your husband!!

Mine is always, "brush your teeth","brush your teeth", "brush your teeth". I swear I'll be calling my kids in college to remind them to brush their teeth!!!:D

OMG I swear I spend my day repeating myself...the same things every time, every day, non stop...get dressed, put your shoes on, put your jacket on, stop talking and eat, stop doing that to the dog, get off the floor, stop it, don't do that, get in your seat, sit down, get up....and the list goes on! It's just constant! LOL

Oh my gosh, . .thank you for bringing this up. My son is autistic and has ADHD so I'll ask him to brush his teeth and he'll get distracted by a speck on the floor or his reflection in the mirror or go into his room and read a book. Ugh, . . sometimes I just lose it esp in the mornings when it is time to get ready for school. Sometimes I'll just repeat what I want them to do over and over and over and over again (get dressed, get dressed, get dressed, get dressed) in a really robot tone the first time and then my kids will laugh and say "Okay Mom I get it."
Seriously please tell me I'm not the only one that is on the verge of a mental breakdown.

I know!! What is it about the morning rituals??? I totally lose it as well. "Hurry up, you'll be late for the bus, just get your shoes on! Do I have to stand here to make sure you've brushed your teeth? Why aren't your shoes and socks on yet? How many times do I have to tell you to..... (fill in the blank)" Aaaack!:eek:

It's enough to drive one mad!!:p

Well, here is one all moms - especially those w/ ADD and/or autistic kids will appreciate. It's "where are your shoes? I told you to bring them down. I reminded you. Go get them." Followed by minutes ticking by, hollering up the stairs WHERE ARE YOU? HURRY UP!! Upon arrival, thankfull w/ shoes, I ask what took so long. My DD finally tells me she was looking at her flip flops. I can see it now. She went up to get tennies, saw the flip flops, and started wringing her hands staring at her flip flops thinking about summer. Uggggh.

And people wonder

why I don't have kids. . .See thing is, I know kids, I was one, I would drive me mad. Holy macaroni and cheese a little me <runs screaming from building>
