Does anyone know when this movie is coming out or if I've missed it? I read the book and enjoyed it. I saw on the trailer website that it was supposed to be Janurary 15th but fandango does not have any information on it.

I don't think it's out quite yet. My mom got a copy of it the other day from her friend who is an actor (and I guess being a member of SAG gets all the movies on dvd because they vote) and I keep hearing interviews about it, so it must be just about due.

There was a limited release on December 11. It will be released everywhere Jan. 15th.

Really worth watching. I am amazed at the attention to detail. I felt like I had been transported to the 70's. The story is still as heart breaking. Well acted, well directed. One of the best films of 2009 for sure.

I grew up in the 70's so it will be interesting to see. Honestly I really want to see the young lady that stars in it. She seems really good and the cinemetogrophy (sp?) looks spell binding. This book sorta touched me since I lost my MIL 4 months ago. Makes you wonder what happens when you die.

I ordered it yesterday. My house is on serious book overload. I may have to rethink the whole Kindle thing. I just bought 5 books from the library for $2.00!! My books are invading my house!!
