The exam is over!!!

First, thanks all of you for your support! It's so nice to have this community of great people who "get" what this is all about. I definitely felt all your good vibes while I was taking the test. It's a nice feeling. I wish I could hug all of you! :)

Anyway, it was easier than I thought but I wouldn't call it easy. The primary emphasis was client interaction as opposed to the hard science stuff, which there was surprisingly little of. Many of the people had just graduated or were about to graduate with exercise science degrees and wanted the credential to help them find employment. I tried not to dwell on the fact that I was old enough to be their mother. We were alloted three hours for the 150 multiple choice questions and I took me a little more than half that time to finish.

So, it is finally over with and I am SO glad to get my life back again. I get my results in 6-8 weeks and I'm already obsessing that I filled in the dots in the wrong places. If I didn't do that, I feel pretty good about it. And of course I had to celebrate so I had pizza and ice cream. :9

Thanks once more for all your good wishes. Now that I don't have to study I'll have more time to post.}( If anyone needs any exam insights, I'm your girl!!

I know the feeling when it's over! I took the exam last November and about 2 weeks before I was VERY stressed! I was cramming up til the last minute but after it was over, I was so relieved. I even felt like "I don't care if I passed or not, atleast it's OVER!!!" It only took about 4 weeks for my results. I remember how scared I was to open the letter. When I did, I almost cried (I passed) and I was jumping up and down like a kid hugging ds. (He probably thought "she finally LOST it!"):)

Anyway, hugs to you! TRY to relax now that it's over and let us know when you get the results so we can all congratulate you!!!;-)
 
Congrats, Lois! I know you did great! As I recall, when I took the ACE GFI exam back in 1997, they also said it would take about 6-8 weeks to get the results back, but I got mine within about two. So that may well happen to you as well, and you'll be on your way!

And now . . . welcome to the wonderful world of (drumroll). . .

Lois. Glad it went well for you! So was there any practical part of the exam or was it all written? I should take it just so I have an excuse to have pizza when I am done :) Congrtas And I bet you did great! I will look forward to the post tha says You passed!

FANTASTIC Lois!!! Hip-Hip-Hoorah!!!!

You brought back a bad memory for me though...on one of my college finals I actually did get off a question and my entire exam was wrong, but the instructor figured it out and called me to tell me what I had done but that he wouldn't hold it against my grade since he could tell where I had err'd. THANK GOD! So I obsessed about that every time I took one of those computer graded exams!
