The Eckankar Religion

Hi guys,
Has anyone heard of this religion? A friend of mine invited me to one of their services and it turned ot to be pretty good. The people seemed very positive and kind. However, in seeking out my spirituality, I do not want to join any church on a whim. Anyone knows anything about this religion and can offer me some feedback?
