The DVD saga continues--please help!

OK so last night, just to make sure my IMAX3 DVD wasn't defective, I put another one in to test it (Core Max). After about 5 minutes it started freezing & returning to the menu. What the heck is going on?

Clearly it's a problem w/my DVD player. I bought it about 2 months ago for about $75 & it's reconditioned so hey, I didn't expect it to be perfect but I did expect to be able to actually use it.

So any advice? Could it be just a minor problem, like it needs cleaning? Or do I need a brand new (warrantied) player? Crap! x(
 
Yeah, I had that happen once. I had it cleaned and that worked for a few months then it busted again for good. Mine was floor model. It didnt even come with a box. Now I wish for a multi disk player.
 
Sounds to me like it's your player. I have a cheap one too, and it doesn't work very well. You really do get what you pay for. I haven't had any of my Cathe workouts freeze up on me yet, but the second they do, that thing is going in the trash and I'm getting me a multi-disk player;)
 
OK OK, so it's off to freakin Cosco this weekend. I don't need a multi disk player though. I can only watch one at a time. :)
 
Splurge a little - you only live once! Plus, its soooooo nice to have a multi-disk. I can go from one dvd to another super quick and my Heart Rate stays elevated! If its for your health - its worth it! That is always my excuse to my husband :);-)
 
LOL! The one I have now is the first DVD player I've ever owned! I'm what you might call a techno idiot. It takes me a really long time to get used to new technology.

Frankly, at this point I'm wishing I'd stuck w/the VCR.:-(
 
Yep, Babe! It's your player. I had the very same problem when I first ordered from Cathe. Linda was great. She replaced my DVD 3x's. Then she told me it was probably my player. Sure 'nuff! It was. Yeah, I had to buy a new one. There was no getting around it!x(
 
hey Maximus! no clue about your dvd player, but did you ever find your remote the housekeeper lost?
