The cutest thing

Fitnik

Cathlete
Sorry guys - this is a real "gushy" post but my little boy did the cutest thing today. He's going through a phase of grabbing things tightly and not wanting to let go. I was feeding him in a chair which has several wrungs on the backrest. After feeding him, I tried to get up but couldn't. Max had grabbed one of the wrungs and refused to let go! The chair literally lifted up with him holding it and me trying to lift him!

What a feisty little guy! *sigh* I love my son!:)

What's the cutest thing your baby's done today?

Hi Fitnik!

Every little thing he does is cute to me at the moment! He made me laugh the other day - he was very hungry, but had just dirtied his nappy, so (unfortunately for him!) I decided that I needed to change him before I gave him his bottle. Well, as you can imagine, he was not impressed at having to wait for his grub! He promptly had "screaming ab-dabs" as my Mum would say (she's from Manchester). Anyway, he was straining so hard each time he cried that he kept popping little f*rts out  !! This, for some reason, had me in stitches!! I know, I know - I really DO need to get out more! When I told DH about it, he said "well, what do you expect - he takes after his mother"!! Cheeky beggar! It comes to something, though, when you start laughing at your own son's blow-off's, eh?!! :7

PS - It was lovely to catch up with you on the phone last night!!

Hi Funke & Kaz!

I agree - every sweet little thing he does just melts my heart. It might be a look, a smile or nothing at all - I just love my baby Ryan more each passing second. Your stories had me laughing out loud. My guy hasn't had me in stitches like that, but he always has us smiling and saying "oh look, isn't he cute?". He is so MELLOW! Mind you, unlike you two, I have three older children, so baby Ryan has ALOT to watch and observe at all times. I am SO thankful he is mellow. We just love, love, love, LOVE him so much it is amazing. Keep on keeping in touch! It is lovely to hear from you!

I haven't posted on the FitMoms forum in forever, since my guy is now 18 months and not really a baby. But, give me a chance to brag and I will jump all over it.

Lately he has a infatuation with my dumbells and plates. I try to keep them hidden and explain that they are mommy's toys, but sometimes he gets a hold of them. Anyway, yesterday I was doing Muscle Endurance and he got a hold of one of my 1 1/4 lb. plates. He got on top of my tall step and started doing squats with it. I almost had to stop my lunges and grap a plate myself and join him.

Have a great day, ladies! Thanks for the invitation to brag!

Hi Everyone! Oh what adorable stories. I just love reading about the cute things that little kiddies do. My boys are one(next week)and three, and they do so many things that just put such a smile on my face. I have learned to keep the video camera charged and right in the area of action so when those moments come along I am camera ready:D

Love those stories! My baby boy is 9 months old and today for the first time he went from a laying down position to pushing himself into an upright sitting position. I was so excited!

Hello,

My son is 4 and I am expecting a second boy in July... Anyway, just thought I would share that this morning when I picked up my son from preschool, they had made bunny rabbit ears so he put them on and hopped out of the school all the way to the car, it was so funny, nobody passing in the halls could stop from smiling!

Have a great day!

May.

2 Cute Things

My daughter turned 6 months on Thursday and it's really such a cute age. Last week when she was trying to figure out how to crawl forward (as opposed to scooting backwards), she kept pushing herself into a very good plank position and managed to hold it for probably a good minute or so each time before belly-flopping ;-)

Then yesterday, (now that's she's got the hang of forward locomotion) she got into my exercise DVD's. The funniest thing was she decided to only pull off the shelf the ones with blonde instructors on the cover and left the brunettes alone (sorry Cathe!). I'm guessing that similar to how she apparently thinks all men in military camouflage are her Daddy, she's thinking all blonde ladies in workout clothes are her Mommy :D

RE: 2 Cute Things

Around here while I was pregnant with the last baby, we used to joke that she would be born weightlifting or doing aerobics as I did so much of it while I was pregnant. Well, don't you know Hannah, had no sooner pulled herself up to standing position when she was 8-9 months old and some sibbling turned on a Cathe tape and hannah's little hips wiggled back and forth to the beat. We laughed and laughed, yep, she's already starting. Get um while they're young Cathe!!!
