I'm so glad this has come up! What does the arrow thread 'mean'? (not as in life, the universe and everything) But what's that funny little symbol for?

I've been dying to ask this ever since I joined the forum!

LOL - the arrow points to your name, so it's as if you're talking about yourself in the third person. For instance:

<--- is explaining how the arrow thread works

means

Shelley is explaining how the arrow thread works

It's just a kind of silly thing I've done on other forums and I introduced it here a while back and a bunch of people were insane enough to join me.
