Just wondering what everyone will do for Thanksgiving as far as food and fitness. Happy Thankgiving fellow Cathe fans!

EAT, EAT, EAT!!! :7 My mom and I always do a five or six mile run before we dig in though. We still eat WAY more than any human should, but it makes us feel just a wee tad less guilty. Then we usually pretend that our jeans aren't tighter for the next couple of weeks. Works every year! ;)

I hate to disrupt my workout regimen so I will definitely still workout. I will, however, be eating anything I want the rest of the day!:7 :7

ARE YOU KIDDING??? its only like once in a blue moon that chef dh actually cooks for jsut me and viola, and this year's menu is steak and shrimp. for friday will be the traditional dinner since dad will be home from chemo treatments(his last a week :-( ). my only trouble is to do the cranberry glaze or the honey glaze for the ham this year while mom makes the 12lb turkey :9 i usually don't over eat on the potatoes or stuffing but really stuff myself with turkey, veggies, and dessert.

I can enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal without the over indulgence. Besides, being fit and staying fit means to EAT! That being said, you don't have to have the gravy, stuffing, etc. I like the turkey (even though it rots in my intestines);-) I prefer sweet potatoes over mashed potatoes. I will have pie. Pumpkin pie is good for you. I make mine with splenda. So splenda is not so good for you, but at least I won't get fat.

I will work out like any other day and then eat what I want! My only goal will be to NOT stuff myself silly, but I will not DENY myself anything that day! I can't friggin' wait!!!:9 }( :9 }(

I have Drill Max on the schedule for that morning. Then I plan on pigging out for the rest of the day. :9

I'll work out and enjoy everything in moderation.

I'm planning on a super workout that morning - maybe drill max or something of similar intensity - then eat what I want without being a total glutton!!

*SIGH*

I'm eating and I'm NOT working out:eek: :p :7

OK--I might commune with Eli and Coach Sean for just a little while (for those who don't know, Eli is code for my elliptical), but I'm not making any promises.:7

I will workout and eat what I want. I never really over eat the turkey or potatoes and gravy or stuffing as it's not something I crave. I like the pies the sweet potatoes and the other goodies.:)

I will workout and eat in moderation. I usually don't do sweets for dessert and I may have one if it looks worth the calories.:)

I have to be good :(. Very good. Too good. That stupid candida diet again. I'm actually "allowed" and even encouraged to eat as much meat as I want to, but even though I'm not quite vegetarian yet, I making my way there. As a treat to myself, I suppose, I'll be putting turkey into my salad! And that's about all I can eat :|.

Since I'm hosting it, as I do every year, I doubt I'll be able to get a workout in. There's too much to do in the morning and I'm not one who can get up at 5am and jam. That's OK though, because I usually don't overindulge on the holidays. Seeing all that food kind of turns my appetite off. To make up for not working out I'll probably do Body Max 2 on Wednesday and Drill Max Friday.

DH and I are in charge of breakfast, so he's making waffles and I'm making scrambled eggs. I have bootcamp in the morning, and we'll be running around the neighborhood doing whatever turkeys tell us to do. Since I'm the head turkey, I've got to put them all out beforehand, so I figure I'll end up running about 4 miles that morning. That's enough of a workout for me on a national holiday! :p :7

ii haven't taken a recovery week for some time, so my recovery weeks starts Wednesday (plus I have a pulled hamstring). I'll eat sensibly and maybe go for a walk, but I'm not going to do any tough workouts.
