Well I am happy to say thanks to a good diet and Freestyle Training, I am 1 lb away from my goal weight of 105, although I would not be sad if I lost another lb or 2...
My hips are at 34.5 now, lost another 1/2 inch.:7
Grinning from ear to ear..... just had to share... Rhonda:7

Congratulations Rhonda, that's fantastic.

The hips are my only trouble spot and right now I'm pushing 36". What did you do to whittle away at that area and what kind of diet did you follow?

I know Freestyle Training is working the legs 4-5 days a week, but how much cardio did you be sure to get as well?

Your news is really encouraging. I was beginning to think there wasn't anything I could do to get my hips back to their normal size.

Hi ladies,

elaineyue, I try hard to watch my eating, as close to clean as I can simular to run4fun... I drink alot of water.... NO sodas except diet coke on friday and saturday nights....
I jog everyday that I can get outside, I do lower body exercises at least 6 days a week, part lower body exercises and the rest cardio.
in the am I do my lower body exercises and go out for a jog about 20 minutes to 30... in the pm I do my lower body exercises and run in place to 20 to 30 minutes....
I work my upper body 1 to 2 days a week, I have changed my abs to 4 times a week, seeing how this will work for them....
I am 5'2" ... and 45 yrs young:7

Shopgirl:7 ... hope I got your questions answered in here too...

The reason I work out in the pm for an hr is too get my metabolism going again to work thru the late hrs..... Rhonda:7

elaineyue, I started after the first of the yr.... my hips were 36 then...

Good job Rhonda. I know you have been working hard to reach your goals:D

hmmm you guys are intriguing me! i weigh 123 and am 5'5" but my hips are about 38" I was "blessed" with child bearing hips... what can i say. But maybe i'll give this a shot. I love working legs, so it might work perfectly! :)

Thanks Beverly and Diane Sue, yes I have worked very hard to reach my goal....
ibeach, I think you would be very happy with the results if you try freestyle training...... Rhonda:7

Rhonda, I looked back at some old threads about Freestyle training and am very intrigued. I would like to try a routine using Cathe's lower body workouts. However, I was wondering if your legs felt too tired to be doing both cardio and lower body 6 days a week. In fact, just today, I went for a run (HIIT) and then did a 30 minute lower body routine. Yesterday, I had done Bootcamp and was slightly sore. But during my run, my legs felt like dead weight and so I didn't feel as if I was working my hardest. Seriously, kudos to you that you can do cardio/lower body TWICE a day!

Thanks, Elaine

Elaine, its taken a few weeks to get my jogging back up to speed. Last year I was jogging 3 miles in 30 minutes, it took me a few weeks to get that back after just using my exercise bike to get my cardio...
And yes I do get tired but my legs usually don't bother me its just that I get tired cause I can't take a nap after I have to get ready and go to work....
I will be slowing down a bit pretty soon, I will still do am and pm exercises I just won't put as much into the pm, just enough to get my metabolism going good thru the night.. and keep up on my results... Rhonda :7
