Thanks (I think) A-Jock :)

Annette: I had the pleasure }( of exploring your modified Circuit Max using a heavy barbell, woah Nelly!!! what a fantastic workout. CM has some of my favourite Cathe hi/lo and step in it and doing it with heavy leg work made it even better, the time and sweat just flew! Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration, perspiration and resonating lowerbody DOMS!

I'm not a gadget person but was very curious as to how many calories were burned during this one, intense indeed!!! Thanks again!!

Laurie, are you crazy? I can't believe you are encouraging her! OH MY! ;-)

Hi, Laurie! Glad you "enjoyed" that particular (per)version of C-Max. Actually, with that one I like to grab the remote after the 6th resistance cycle, click onto the Cardio Kicks power drills segment, do that, and then bang out some more squats, plie squats and lunges.

Within a week or two, I'm gonna try another variation of that: following the 6th resistance cycle, flip over to the Kick Max Boot Camp Challenge, do THAT, and then do my squats lunges yadda yadda.

That workout is one of the sweatiest. I love grabbing for the ice water and getting a quick blast every now and then because the workout fires me up so much.

Have fun!

I'm loving the idea of adding on to CM for another blast of cardio and more leg work, the possibilities are endless. I'm seeing my circuit workouts in a different light and am glad to have some new ways to mix it up until we get our sweaty hands on the new workouts.

Debbie, I dare say A-Jock doesn't need my encouragement, she is called to find new ways to challenge us (sometimes it's more like torture though;-)), TOUGH love perhaps.}( :) .

Thanks for sharing your mish-moshes with us Annette!:)

Hello again, Laurie -

Just when you thought it was safe to do an A-Jock Mish-Mosh . . .

I love the CK power drills at the end of C-Max because the pace slows down a bit but the power push increases, especially with the sequential power kick sequence, followed by ice breakers, punches with jumps and that squat-to-roundhouse-kick thing. And the punching drill sequence is still Cathe's best IMHO - I do this particular mish-mosh every other Monday and I still feel it in the lats, shoulders and obliques the next day.

One way to juice up the CK power drills punching sequences, cardio-wise, is to insert either traditional jumping jacks with the "monkey arms" (a la C-Max hi/lo 2), modified plyo jacks, full plyo jacks OR (drum roll) PLIE JACKS (my new favorite torture move) between drills. The lower body isn't recruited very much and I find my HR returning to normal fairly quickly - the plie jacks especially keep my HR up, my breathing rate up and my blood bubbling.

Just a suggestion . . .

A-Jock

Annette:

I'll definitely give these a try, I find it a challenge to hit the lats real HARD and quite like a day or 2 of DOMS in that area}(

And so we come full circle; again I say, thanks (I think);-)
