Just wanted to say he had a very good day back at school today. The outpouring of support was truly amazing. The football team, friends, teachers have been wonderful to him. He and I were concerned how people would react and everyone has fully embraced him. The Mom of one of the girls who was there when it happened called me and the other girl talked to him today :)

We recieved calls/emails from 17 falculty and staff and many kids, parents, friends families. We are finding other people with seizure disorders. The support is incredible.

In this tough time we feel so blessed.

Thanks you ALL of you catheites who had us in your prayers, thoughts and sent hugs! Good things will come to you :)

- Robyn

We hope the increased meds will handle the seizures once and for all but even if not we know he will be ok :)

glad your son is doing better. that is great you have a great support in your community. something most lack now-a-days.hopefully the meds will help. its a very tough thing to deal with, but you seem in good spirits so you are very strong in handling it.

Robyn - I'm so glad you had support at school as well as here! Glad that he is doing better! I can imagine how you felt!

I hope you all benefit from the support. Just knowing there are others like him out there will be a wonderful thing for your son. You, too! Make sure to reach out to them, too, since you share something important.

(Sorry- my .02, since I've seen the simple knowledge of shared health issues change a lot of lives for the better.)

All the best, Robyn. We're thinking about you and your family!

Robyn,

It is great to hear of all of the wonderful support that you are receiving! I will keep your son and family in my thoughts and prayers.

Awww. thanks everyone. He had another very good day at school. His friends, teachers, everyone was great. Who ever bashes teenagers of bein uncaring is SO WRONG! The outpouring of support has been amazing!

He and I talked about it today and he said how every one has been to him makes it so much easier.

This may sound weird but in a way I'm glad it happened at school - because we've been "hiding" it and it's so much easier knowing that he has a disorder but people STILL like him. In fact I think he is more of an inspiration. Hopefully the new dosage will control it too. He is 6 feet and 175 so he has been growing a lot. They think even a growth spurt can throw things off kilter plus all the hormones of teenage boy!

I feel so much love and support, it's wonderful.

Thanks so much :)
