Thank you, Logos, CatieFit, and Stayfit, for your detailed responses! I'm very excited and am looking forward to getting started.I guess breaking the plateu means breaking the boredom and now I have two great opptions to choose from! By the way, Catie, when you do your cardio five days a week, how long do you go? Or does it just vary from day to day?
Thanks again! Johna:D

Johna,

No problem, it was my pleasure to offer some suggestions. As for my cardio time: I usually go your standard 30-60 minutes depending on how much time I have to workout on a particular day. I DEFINITELY try to go a full 30 minutes and often have time to extend it to 45 minutes...it's a luxury to find 60 minutes for cardio (usually comes in the form of a Sunday walk). The IMAX 2 interval premixes (1st 5 int, or 2nd 5 int.) clock in at about 30 minutes apiece. I've found that the above times are plenty for my cardio needs and I mix it up alot (step, walking/jogging, bike, inline skating, hiking etc.), I try to go for more quality than quantity, though I do make an effort to do those 30 min. at least 5 days a week. Hope this helps!:)

Hi Johna,

I have the P90X program that is very well put together with different rotation depending on how much time you have and also your fitness goals. The classic rotation wich is the most popular follows the three day split and does cardio twice a week, one cardio is interval training like the Imaxes and another day is kickboxing. And for those who have time to workout twice a day they have the doubles rotation that adds extra cardio.
