Hi Cheetahs

***I apologize for not proof reading my last post. I was pressed for time.***

Shelly:eek:- Wow your closing came up fast! You are having one busy summer lady!

Cathy- The Art of Strength is what I am borrowing from DS's trainer. itgave me some significant rear end DOMS!

Christine-:( Oh dear, Kimono does not sound well. And I would take Jimmy's behavior as all knowing. I read an interesting article about a facility that takes care of elderly ( can't recall if it was a nursing home or Hospice) But they had a resident cat who would always sit with a patients when he/she was near death. The cat was always right. Any way I will pray for Kimono and all of your family.

Carole & Christine & Thomassina:confused:- I am sorry about the return of the the smoky air.

Lori-:) Are you starting up again with NROLFW? I needed a break after stage 4. I did not take any breaks between stages as recommended.

Today's plan was to do Cardio Coach Press Play Choose Living for the end of the month. We ll My ipod was dead. So I planned to burn a CD real quick. But I had no files of the workout! After sending Sean an email and getting a quick response, he resent me the download! So, now I have it saved on my computer in 3places and on a CD. but while I was waiting I got the urge to do CC#7. I love that one!

I'm not sure if I'll get in may more personals today, but have a great Weekend ladies!

Hello Cheetahs. My mom is doing better today. I just hope the stones pass so she doesn't have to go though that again. One ordeal done but she still has one more hurrdle to go. My parents live in an inlaw sweet my dh and I built so at least I don't have to travel to far to check on them.

Today for me was an easy 3 mile run. I had to be out the door early for an orthodontist apt. with my dd who is 9. She has a palate expander in her mouth now for 8 months and they are going to fit her for a retainer until she is old enough to get braces. Poor thing, I can't imagine having that contraption in my mouth that long but her teeth look perfect now.

Lorie- Thanks for the well wishes for my mom. It sounds like you have such a good weekend planned. I would love to see all those animals. Just think positive thoughts while your in meeting today. Think WEEKEND!!!!

Carole- The fire and smoke sound terrible. I'm glad you and you dh and dogs are out of harms way. It seems like every summer the news is covered with wild fire coverage. I pray for those people.

Cathy- How about a banana? Or even a half. That should up the potassium. I can't wait to order the program but I'm going to wait until I get home from the ocean. I can't wait to see what kind of grades I get. It is so neat to see that information.

Christine- Thanks for thinking of my mom. She is doing better today. Sorry to hear about Kimo. I know your worried. It is going to be ok. HUGS. I didn't know you 15yo was away. I bet your glad to have her home.

Gloria- May 23 whooo. I am so happy you may have a running partner in crime to run the marathon. Where is it? Or did you mention and I missed it. Is this your first one? How exciting. Thanks for the happy thoughts for my mom.

Shelly- Enjoy the shore this weekend. I can't wait until it's my turn to go. One more week.

Wendy- When do you leave for OC? I'm sure it's soon. Forcast in MD looks like no rain and pretty good weather so your in luck this week.

Wendi- I know you feel my moms pain having been prone to them. I just hope I don't get one. I had one when I was pregant but they told me the baby was on a nerve. Bull crap. I never passed it so I'm sure it's in there somewhere. I'm following the diet they gave my mom to lower my chances of getting them in the future. They told her no more tea. Maybe a glass a day.

Judy- Hope you find your cat.

Any others I'm so I missed. I think I got everyone. Now I'm off to Target. My favoite store.

Hello Cheetahs!

Cathy - Glad you found your KM workout! #2 will make a good gift. Thanks for the update on Sunny. Glad she's doing well. Happy that the diet is going so well for you. Enjoy your rest day! Have you figured out the workout manager? I can't seem to get into it.

Wendy - Hope you have a super time on vacation even though you're 80+ blocks from the boardwalk. That really does suck!

Karen - Saying a prayer for your mom. Hope she feels better soon. Enjoy the time with your neice.

Shelly - That ME is a killer! Whew! Enjoy your time off work. Going boating again? Have you pulled out the motorcycle yet? Any bites on your AZ home? Will keep my fingers crossed that you can get it sold quickly. I hear it's a buyer's market now if they can get financing.

Wendi - Glad you were able to sneak a nap in yesterday. Thanks for the explanantion of dry lanes. Guess they would need to keep the lanes wet for me all the time. LOL!!

Gloria - It was nice the event was on the news and for a good cause too. Think it's pretty cool too.

Lorie - I'm not crazy about the smiley limit either. What's up with that? Thanks for the compliment on my house. Now, an Aruba fun sounds fabulous. I ran while I was in Curacao a couple of years ago and it was nice. Hope the staff meeting wasn't too bad.

Judy - Sorry you lost your post! Glad Sean was able to help you out so quickly.

Carole - I went back and found Beau's pic. He is a cutie and I can see why you love him. Glad Sadie is accepting him. Now she'll have a partner in crime with the skunks. LOL!! Enjoy your time off today. Hope the smoke clears soon. At least, they're making progress.

Christine - Kickboxing on the Bosu was fun. The instructor uses a step. So, I just subbed. Layoffs??? GRRR!! Sorry to hear that. Changes are being made all over. Bet DD is happy to get back to mom too. Sorry to hear Kimo is not doing well. Glad Jimmy is there with her.

I did Shred 2, 1 & 3 thru circuit 2. Did the warm up from #1 and the cool down from #3. Good workout too!

Well, I'm trying to get out of here early today. Going to visit DBF. Won't be checking in over the weekend. Have a great one everyone!

Jackie :: I thought they fixed the login issues with WM, but I am still hitting some snafus, too. What works for me is logging out of the forums, and then going up to WM, and logging in again on that page. I'm only using the nutrition program, though. Tried to enter a 1RM for an exercise and that wasn't saving, so I've held off...Hope you get out early & enjoy your time @ DBF's.

Karen :: glad to hear your mom is doing better...what is the next health hurdle, if you don't mind us knowing?...I have been eating a banana daily this week, and I am still flunking! *lol* Happy Targeting (my favorite place to drop some greenbacks, too)!

Judy :: I think I saw a TV program about the cat you are talking about...hope you have a great weekend, too.

Shelly :: Down with smiley rationing! :)

Cathy: TC is a very pretty place. I have been thinking about it all day now. I have missed having a running partner. She has never run a marathon either. She is starting her final year at Michigan State, so I am not sure how often we will actually get to run together. For the really long runs I would be willing to drive down there so we could support each other, then I could stay at her apartment. 14.5 tomorrow. I am sending lots of good vibes your way for the big run tomorrow. :)

Shelly: You are sweet. I am getting excited already for the marathon and I think I don't have to train until January. He He! Enjoy your lovely days off.

Judy: Your post about the cat brought a tear to my eye and goosebumps to my arms. Sean is good with the quick responses. I was having trouble with my downloads and he was very helpful.

Karen: This will be my first marathon. It is in Traverse City, MI. I posted a link to the website today on a previous post if you are interested. I am happy to have a partner too. I am happy your mother is doing better today. How nice for you that they are so close. I think most of the girls on here love Target! :)

Jackie: Thanks about the event. :) This cause is one I hold near and dear to my heart. I hope your weekend with DBF is fantastic. :)

My circuit turned into KPC and abs. I think you can put me right up there with Wendy for indecisive Cheetah! LOL! I figured I need to work on the core more if I am doing a marathon in May. We are going to our friend's house tonight. Have a great night ladies!

Cathy- No I dont' mind you asking. My mom had inflamatory breast cancer ( survivor now 7 years) that is the one with no lumps just a feverish breast and other signs that are generally mistaken for other things other than cancer. She had a mastectomy, two bouts of chemo and radiation but survived. To make a long story short when she went for the CT scan for the kidney stones they saw a lesion on her 11th veretbrate. We ( meaning mom and I and family) always fear cancer. She went to see her oncologist who she is friendly with after all of this and she said she is not messing around and sent her for a bone scan and an MRI plus all the bloodwork that goes with it. Today actually when I got home form Target the oncologist called and said that the bloodwork came back fine as did the bone scan. However the MRI is suspicious still. They can't confirm or not what it is. More worry now. She told my mom not to worry that they are going to solve the puzzle. They are now sending her for a PET scan to see if it is defiente cancer or not. I'm thinking positive because her bloodwork is good and they didn't see any other issues on the MRI other than the one they knew about. I'm hoping if it is cancer again they can treat it early. I told mom that if it is she is lucky becasue she never would have know it had she not had the kidney stones. It is just horrible not knowing anything. My mom exercises everyday and eats well. I really think that helped her beat breast cancer. On top of that my dad had a brain anyersm 5 years ago. He survived when most would have died. They prepared us for that but he was a one in a million the doctor said. Smoker since 9 and still is. Very old school. He lost a lot of short term memory but he still drives and functions like normal. Anyway his leg was hurting so they did some type of scan and they found a stomach anyersm. So we are waiting on that Aug 11 for them to remove that safely which they said they can do. Monday they fix his leg with a stint and ballloon. How on earth do you fix a leg before you remove an anyersm which is 5 1/4 cm long. They are though. He had one surgery already to see the location of the anyersm with a camera and they said it is in a good place. I'm telling you Cathy it is so hard. Having them here as well makes it easy to take care of them but the constant stress of it makes my anxiety horrible. Every time I turn around if somthing aches I think I'm dying. I"m so gald for my dh and kids. They keep me sane. I'm glad you asked somthimes it is good just to write it all out and get your fears and stress out there. Thanks.

jackie- Thanks for the well wishes

Cathy...I do hope Sadie and beau can be friends...:)...As for the smoke, I figure I never smoked in my life so a bit now shouldn't hurt and I know your lungs can recover. But when the smoke socked in last night real thick, it was awful...What is the deal about potassium?

Christine...I think it is our weather pattern holding the smoke in these days. How nice your DD15 is coming home. Sorry to hear Kimo is not feeling good, sending healing vibes. LOL about your friend reminding you of the Tasmanian devil!

Gloria...I have never kennel trained a dog myself, but I agree with Shelly as I have known people that have and their dogs do have accidents occasionally. Yeah, the smoke really sucks!! Good job with KPC and abs.

Shelly...congrats on the house closing. Good job on the 5 miles on the TM...lol about your distraction! Yes, I will do a long run sunday smoke or not!

Judy...thanks re our smoke. I should just come and stay with you for a few days! That was nice Sean sent you another download.

Karen..it is just that the smoke has been here for a month! The worst fires we have ever had here. We have never been close to evacuating but have had just as much smoke as everyone else in Northern Calif. Sounds like your daughter is one tough little girl. WOW...my thoughts and prayers for your parents. Thank you for sharing that story.

Jackie...Glad you saw Beau and thank you! He is just so much fun. Good job with the Shred workouts. Have a great weekend with DBF!

I got in a good 4 mile smoky run! Then did the upper body and half of the abs/core later in the day. Beau had an accident in my weight room!! Stinky..

Karen: My heart goes out to you and your family. IA with Carole, thank you for sharing your story. It takes a lot to do that, but the release is a good thing.

Carole: Thanks for the input. I was just so frustrated this morning when I went to get her out of the kennel. Dh took care of her while I cleaned the kennel, washed her blanket and then I had to give her a bath since she was covered in you know what! All that before a cup of coffee. I don't even log on to Cathe until I have had at least one cup. I love her though. It is just the way puppies are after I have been doing some reading. We had a great training book when we had Ellie, but we let our friends borrow it since they have a new pup and got him before we picked up Pip. It would be rude to ask for it back. I have learned a lot on the website I was talking about earlier. Yuck on the stinkie Beau created!! You are so positive about running in the smoky conditions. :)

Update on Pip's training for anyone who is interested:

No: done
Come: Progressing very well
Sit: A little progress

I am waiting for DH to get home so we can head out. Have a great night all!

You girls are going to make me cry. Actually I am crying. I should be thanking all of you for letting me burden you with it. All my family does is try and talk positively but it is hard to hold in what your thoughts really are. I'm going to be 36 soon and it feels like I'm 5 again. I know at some point in all our lives we will have to bear losing our parents but I just don't want it to be now or this way. My only grace in all of this is that it could be worse and things are worse for some families. We are not sure what it is so no news is good news. I remember reading the post a while back with the girl who had the scare with the brain thing on the open forum. I felt so much for her becaue it's the not knowing that kills you. Thanks again for letting me cry on your shoulders. Now I have to stop crying and go be Mommy.
