Good Morning

Gayle::: I like the workout yesterday!! I hope you got a lot accomplished yesterday.

Marcy:::: Yeah! for your new workouts. I will have to look up Slim Series, is it like the X?

Rhonda::: Happy you found the color button!!:) Chalk!! Invest in chalk for your hands!! I chalk my hands alot and it really helps when they are sweaty!! How was cleaning yesterday?

Jane::: I like Winston Churchill. I copied it for later reference! How was it!!??? Looking forward to seeing "pain with Jane"... I think!!;)

Tammy::: Yeah! to upping weights in Providence. That is one kick butt workout! according to Dragon Door, if you are ready to move up in weight, it is better to do that and do less reps, then stay with the weight you have. So you did the right thing, and soon you will be using heavier weights and completing the rounds!!:) And yes, SIM is great, but no pressure;)

Marcy/Rhonda::: Have fun with drill max today. Personally, I like drill 5, its drill 3 I don't like.

Off to do SIM!

Have a great day and Happy Friday!!!

Good Morning. Cleaning was okay. I cleaned the oven ( gotta love that self clean mode :p). It was really stressful extending my index finger to push those 2 buttons. I did a few more activities and I vegged on the couch.

I am going to do DM in a bit. I have to go look at the cover and see what she is wearing. For the more difficult workouts, I find that when I coordinate my outfits, I become that other crew member. It probably sounds crazy but mentally, it works for me.

Deanie- Will go get chalk today. Thanks for the suggestion. I am really happy about the color button. When I used to teach English, we would read a story called " The Giver". They lived in a colorless society. Having no color would make me sad.

Have fun with SIM. BBL.

Farmer:: you clean like I do!!;) Sometimes, I name my dust bunnies!:p I love to read, I am going to look up that book. Have fun being the 5th crew member in DM!

If any one loves to read, I just read a wonderful book, called The History of Love!!! it is not a harpers romance;)

Hi Ladies

Yesterday was rest day. Today I did the following its called Pulse Pyramid mk1:
Thrusters 30 sec, then rest 30 secs
Thrusters 30 sec, Split Jumps 30 sec, rest 30 sec
Thrusters 30 sec, Split Jumps 30 secs, Jump over something 30 sec, rest 30 secs
Thrusters 30 sec, Split Jump 30 secs, Jump 30, Burpee 30 secs, again rest 30
Thrusters 30 secs, Split Jumps 30 sec, Jump 30, Burpee 30, Push up 30 secs, rest
30 secs
Finally thrusters 30 secs, split jump 30, jump 30, burpee 30, push up 30 secs, jump rope 30, rest 30.
Then you go down the pyramid knocking off the thrusters, split jumps etc.

God it was tough. I struggled before the end.

Then I showered went on my driving lesson and went straight to the gym and did runervals of 400m 90 sec rest repeated 3 times, then 200m 60 rest 3 times on the treadmill.
Glad its over.

Deanie: excellent SIM workout as per usual. I'm going to look up that History Of Love book. I could do with a good read.

Farmer: What a great idea about matching up colours with the Cathe crew. I think I'll try that. Thats what I like about workout dvds. They give you the sense that you are doing the workout with them, without the embarrasment of doing a real group workout. I'm quite a private/ shy person who likes to workout alone. Hmm I am a bit odd lol.

Waves to everybody else and have wonderful Fridays.

Love
Laura

Laura:: WOW!! awesome workout!:) I would try it, but those all thrusters scare me!! I can't believe you did the pulse pyramid and then the gym!!:eek:you go girl!!

Battle of the Bunnies

Rhonda:: Is it The Giver by Lois Lowry?

Deanie- It sure is. It is a teen book but I think it is good for any age. Way to go on the swings and your pr with the jerk.

Uggh! I am battling bunnies. I have dust bunnies in the house. I have live bunnies in the yard mowing down my flowers and eating my chives. I am about to go Elmer Fudd up in here.

Laura- Great workout today! Are you learning how to drive a car or a golf ball or something else? You aren't odd. I perfer to workout alone also but the Krav Maga classes are getting me out of my comfort zone and over my fear of germs and other peoples sweat. You should see when I do the one Cahte video where she high fives everyone. I high five my TV. I can't believe I just typed that:eek:.

Drill Max has been on for 20 minutes now. Time to actually push play and get to work.

Rhonda::: Thanks, I requested it from our Library. My DS13 (In GT English) is going to read it for one of his summer reading books:) My DS9 thought the Willowbys by her looked good, so we requested that also. Thanks for the new author! We love to read here!

.....by the way.....
the dvd where Cathe high 5's everyone, I also high five the air in front of the tv (as if I am also high 5'ing her!!) I also say high 5, high 5 with her!:eek:

Good Morning!

Salsa class was fun last night. The teacher noticed I did a different move from what he showed. He said it looked good and he actually liked it better than what he did so he told everyone to do it my way. Today I did Drill Max (warmup, Drills 1-4 and stretch). Apparently, my body's craving more sleep these days and can't get up to do these long workouts. I still got a great workout in. The pushups on the ball are killer! I missed the last few reps. The ball and my hands were shaking all over! My glutes are also feeling it now. I forgot how much this workout works the legs. As you can see, no time for abs which I will try and do this weekend.

Deanie - Slim Series is a Beachbody product but nothing like P90X. Except that it is done circuit style moving from one body part to the next which I really like. It's all light weights with lots of reps. It's purposefully overtraining to slim you out. Most of them are total body workouts with a little cardio mixed in with the exception of Firm It Up which is a lower body workout and Cool It Off which is a stretch workout.

Great workout! The new colors sound great for Bertha!

Tami - Good job on increasing the weights!

Farmer - Yes, self-cleaning is a tough job!;) Glad you got through it! Actually, my outfit matched Cathe's on Monday for Hardcore Extreme (black & pink). It felt nice.

Laura - Great workout! Looks really tough! I can't believe you went to the gym after your first workout.

Marcy

I did Drill Max. There was a time when I was winded just doing the warm up. I did the plank pushups on the knees and for the bicep exercises I used 8's instead of 10's. I also subbed swings for Drill 5. I did 2 cycles of one handed swings with the 8kg, 1 cycle of two handed with the 12 kg and I did one cycle with my 16kg. I was spent!

Deanie- I hope you and DS like it. I haven't read any of her other books. When I was DK' age, my favorite authors were Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary.

Marcy -Way to go my partner in sweat. I kept asking myself how I could bail from doing DM but I gave you my word. I should do that more often. How long are you going to do Slim Series or are you going to play it by ear?

Tamster- Way to go on Providence. I went to a certified RKS but the Kettlebell Training Clinic by AOS is quite helpful as well.

Farmer - I plan on doing Slim Series for a month. After I see my results, I'll see how much longer I want to go. But with my exercise ADD, I might not be able to go longer than a month!

I admit the Drill Max warmup seems to go on forever. WTG on doing the whole workout! Good job on the swings!

I used 10# on the bicep curls. 5# on the rotational side press and front raises although I should have probably tried 8s. I also used 5# for the rotator cuff raises laying on the ball.

Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary were my faves too! What an uproar Are You There God, It's Me Margaret made! I also read her book, Sisters.

*creeps in to thread*

Shhhh, be vewy, vewy quiet...we're hunting wabbits!

Rhonda - Good luck with your bunny battles! I will admit that in the 14 years that I've had my oven...I've never cleaned it. Maybe that's why the smoke detector keeps going off when I broil. I hope you got some ice on that index finger. Good job on DM.

Marcy - OMG! I read everything Judy Blume when I was growing up...there's some memories. Very cool about your Salsa class! :)

Laura - Great workout! Thrusters just kill me...they're evil.

Deanie - Bertha soooo needs a paint job! That would be cool. Great job on SIM. Are the bottoms up presses feeling any better?

Jane - Rockin' workouts this week!! ^^^5's

Tammy - Good job on Providence! ITA with Deanie that it's better to increase weight and decrease reps...the strength will come with that.

Waves to Andilynn!

I went for a short hike with a friend last night, so I guess you could call it a light workout. I'm dog sitting this weekend and my charge is coming to the house after work, so I probably won't get a workout in tonight...hopefully tomorrow.

Have a great Friday!

Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary were my faves too!
Marcy

Gayle ~ I love to hike..it is a great workout but so deceiving because it is so enjoyable.

Marcy ~ Good luck with the slim series.

Deanie ~ There you go with the SIM reference again ;) I was reluctant to up weights and decrease workout time, but now I see that is the only way to get to the next level.

Farmer ~ ROTFLMAO!! Hope you survived the oven cleaning ;) Love how you workout with the crew, DM is a killer. I will look into the kettlebell training clinic, thanks!

Laura ~ are you still breathing after that workout...good glory!!!

Have a good night everyone. My oldest is on his way home from NYC for the weekend :D
