Terminator rotation question - getting ready for the south of france

I got my new DVDs tonight! :)

Can you use the three terminator programs as a consecutive rotation?

I'm going to the Riviera, off season on Feb. 14th (first trip to europe!) - the weekend before I'll also be away F-M.

I'd like to do a very, err, intense, rotation with my new Cathe DVD's.

I'm thinking between tonight and next weekend I'll do:

thurs: Pyramid Lower Body
fri: Pyramid Upper Body
sat: Imax 2
sun: muscle endurance
mon: Cardio and Weights
tues: Pyramid Lower Body with the first 5 intervals of IMAX 2
wed: Pyramid Upper Body
thur: bootcamp

then I was thinking when I return on Tuesday, I'd do the three Terminator DVDs.

Tues. Gauntlet
Wed. Imax xtreme
Thur. Viper

Can they be done consecutively this way?

thanks!

Just my humble opinion, but it looks like you're setting yourself up for overtraining. I suggest taking at least one day off in your first rotation. As for the terminators, Cathe herself (in the Ask Cathe forum) recommends putting them in a rotation on an occasional basis, when you are feeling really energetic and/or need a boost to your program. If you really have the energy to do so, you might be able to do Monday Gauntlet, Wednesday Imax Extreme, Friday or Saturday Viper, but since all three may be of the same intensity as an Interval workout, which is recommended only once or twice a week, this still may be too much. You might feel fine at first, but I'd worry about burn out and risk of overuse injuries.

I am cringing just looking at that "no rest day" rotation! Put a rest day in there for sure or, as Kathryn said, you are setting yourself up to get hurt. Your body needs time to recover, especially when you are working it so hard. If you don't give it a chance to recuperate you could be doing more harm than good.

Have fun in France!

This at first glance, looks like much too much. Cathe said that terminator workouts should be done when you have an excess of time and energy. I would save these for once a week, maybe twice a week with 2 days in between. Cathe says to put 2 days inbetween interval workouts and I would consider all 3 of these to be interval workouts. I just don't want to see you injured or burnt out. Have fun in France! You'll have your whole life to do the I-Series!

ok, ok, i'll take a rest day!

i guess my thinking was that since i'll have a 4 day weekend inbetween the two marathon bouts - and then a week of no formal workouts - it would be ok to put the pressure on inbetween.

thanks.
