technically challenged---help

Does anyone out there know what a MP3 player does beyond the fact that it record music off the computer? I went to Costco today looking for a portable CD player and they do not carry them any longer. I have lots of CD's and I don't really need to download off the computer but I do want to play what I do have. Can I record from the Cd burner off my computer to play the stuff I have or is not not available with a MP3 player? ANY information would be helpful. Thank you.

You can burn your CDs to your computer, then you would upload those files to your MP3 player. the MP3 player should come with the necessary software to do that.

Thank you lala. So all I have to do is burn em to the computer like I would do when I want to burn a new CD. That sounds great. I appreciate your help!

Walmart & Kmart are still selling walkman style cd players.

I just bought one 2 weeks ago.
