my family gives me a hard time about this every year. i guess i am a little picky, but for starters, i do not like steak At All but i will eat ground meat like burgers. i even like ground steak! maybe its because of all the ketchup, mustard, cheese, and bread added on so it helps drown out the flavor of meat. also, leftover meat including turkey and chicken i cannot even swallow down. pork and lamb are ok maybe because the flavor's more bland.

anyone else feel this way or am i crazy?

I have stuff like that too! Not meat, but TOMATOES. I can't eat a raw tomato to save my life. I'm fine with salsa, tomato sauce, sliced tomatoes that have been cooked, etc. Just not raw slices!! LOL.

I'm lucky that I started in with this at about age 4, so my family is used to it. I'm getting better with age, though, but I still pick them off of salads, etc.

I'm like that with celery. I can eat raw celery but won't touch cooked. My mom used to puree celery when she wanted to use it as a flavoring because chunks of cooked celery make me gag. Even the sight of it in soup makes my stomach roll.

I also can't eat reheated meat.

You're not crazy. I have some of the same "food" things and it drove my mom and now my husband insane.

1. Syrup or anything that might come with syrup. I never eat pancakes or french toast even with no syrup because they are things that come with syrup. Don't go to I-HOP, Denny, Wafflehouse or any restaurant the keeps syrup on the table.

2. Iced Tea. Had a really strong glass when I was six (used a pitcher scoop for a glass)and have never drank another glass again.

3. McDonald's Hamburgers. Had a undercooked one when I was 10 and haven't eaten one since.

4. Hot Dogs. Saw Ralph Nadar on Saturday Night Live reading the "allowed" ingredients when I was a little kid and haven't eaten one since.

See you're not crazy....I am

good to know i am not the only one! i remember when i was little i would put gobs of ketchup on steak to help drain out the flavor. i guess since i am older i totally dislike steak even with ketchup.
