Tanita Bodyfat Scales

Has anyone ever used one of these scales? I have one, and use it once a week.
I jsut wondered if anyone else has one, and how accurate they feel this scale is?
It measures bodyfat, hydration levels, visceral fat (that deep bellyfat), bone mass, muscle mass and metabolism.

Mine just does body fat and weight. On the body fat I think it is a little high since it is only reading lower body. I use mine only as a comparison gauge. If the percentage starts to go down, I know I'm improving. If it starts to go up I know I better kick it up a notch (after I cry, LOL)

I always weigh at the same time of day to keep the comparison accurate. My BF percentage according to the scale can be up to 3% different from a morning weigh in to a night weigh in.

Mine does body fat, weight, muscle mass, hydration. I also use it as a comparison gauge. I weigh myself in the morning and at night (early evening is supposed to be the best time to measure body fat). Body fat percentage differs 3% for me as well between morning and night.

I have one .. and thought it measured body fat on the low side .. but I could be wrong .. I HOPE mine is right b/c that would be AWESOME .. LOL .. (shows me at 17% .. and I DON'T think I am that lean - by no stretch of the imagination)

I also have a handheld one and it measures like 3% - 4% higher than the scale does .. ??? and I feel that is a more accurate reading for me

Yeah, it sounds like we all are having the same experience. Although what is strange to me, my weight flucuates by 4 pounds every other day (when I weigh myself-- in the AM only) and on the days I weigh more, my bodyfat is lower 16-18 percent! On the days I weight less, it goes up??? So I wonder how accurate it is. I also have calipers which I hate- I am starting to notice if I am not careful, I can get a "squish" in my oblique area now ( I am 40)good grief!x( I need to get off my computer and attack Cardio Fusion ASAP!!!:p

I just got one of these to replace a Weight Watchers brand bodyfat scale that would often measure weight inconsistently within a five minute time period. Anyway, I love the Tanita and all its functions. You can track your body patterns better based on time of the month, time of day, water intake, etc. The Tanita was $119 on Amazon but I got it on sale at drugstore.com for $79!
