Tall Box height in Leaner Legs

Cathlete
I noticed that one of the girls exercising in the Leaner Legs video had used 9 risers plus the top (I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure about this). How tall is this? I am 5'11 and use a 17" Firm step, is this tall enough? I am an advanced exerciser and have been using the 17" step for over ten years, should I purchase the mini step so that I can get a taller step? Or is the 17" step the max height one should use at my height and capabilities. Please let me know! Maybe I was seeing things!

Do you remember what exercise was being performed?

The reason I ask is that using that many risers plus the top (for a whopping 22 inch height) would make sense during sit and stands. If she was tall or had longer legs extra risers would make sure that the squat didn't go past 90 degrees.

As for doing the step ups, I think that would be way too high. I think the best way to determine the height you need would be to place your foot on your tall box. If your knee is at 90 degree angle or slightly less that would seem to be the correct height. If it is greater than 90 degrees you could raise the height (if you had a tall Step). I think in order to prevent injury your knee on this exercise, your knee should not be much higher than your hip, that your hip and knee should form a straight line in the down position.

Not Cathe, but my two cents.

I'm not Cathe either, :+ , but I agree that this would be too high for step ups. But perfect for sit and stands!
