Taking my workouts on the road!

I just wanted to share this. I'm traveling this coming week as part of the training for my job, and I'll be in a hotel for four nights. It has a workout room, but I very much prefer to do my tapes and DVD's, and not have to workout with strangers or use machines, which I don't like. Now, I'm not knocking gyms or folks who like them. It's just not "me". Anyway ... I have a laptop which I use for work and I'll be taking it with me. It has a DVD/CD player, so ... I popped in the few DVD's I own, and they play!! Okay, so the picture isn't huge like my TV, and the sound is not in stereo, but I can still see the workout!! A few key items into a large suitcase on wheels, and into the trunk it all goes!!

Anyone else have a way of taking their workouts with them when they travel?

What a great idea! My computer plays DVDs and I never thought of using it to play my workouts while I am traveling.

When we go to the beach I take a small step which I bought for the purpose, 2 body bars, and all my Spri stuff. Usually I end up running on the beach a lot, but I use everything sooner or later.

Luckily I can never get rid of a Cathe tape, because there's no DVD player where we stay.

This year I'm going to take my Resistance Ball too...I'll have to deflate it & re-inflate it...that'll count for 1 workout, right?;-)

Hi Joanna! Long time no post - LOL!! Good to "see" you again!

I'm going to our corporate headquarters for my "official" training workshop! I've been doing my job all summer, but the workshop is only offered three times a year.

I'm taking two BOSU workouts I just got and LOVE - "BOSU Reactive Strength and Power with Gay Gasper", and "BOSU Cardio Fusion with Rob Glick", TLP's "Core Foundations", and Cathe's "Body Fusion". I'll use the BOSU for a step in Body Fusion - hence the intermediate DVD choice instead of High Step Training - LOL!! The BOSU is an um ... interesting substitute for a step!! I still fall off the thing at least ten times during a workout, but I'm getting better on it all the time. I absolutely LOVE it!! I haven't yet decided if I'm going to try and do "Core Cardio" using the BOSU as a step. She does a fair amount of step work in it, and you need a long bench. I suppose I could just do the step work on the floor too.

I'll check in here during the week if I can, but I have to use dial-up from the hotel and it's S-L-O-W, so have a great week everyone!! I'll be back late Friday night, but probably won't log on until Saturday morning. Bye!!
