Taebo Bootcamp DVd's ? Are they dangerous?

I'm on the fence about getting this set because I keep hearing mixed reviews of how unsafe Billy Blanks is. Should I purchase it? Have you ever been injured doing his workouts? Thanks

I love Tae-bo. I've never been injured doing them. I like to mix my workouts up, so for me, it's Tae-bo, Cathe, and now Turbo-Jam.

I just checked out a clip and it shows you rolling on a floor lol. he assumes we are all working out on carpet. Ugh. I'm getting Kick Punch and Crunch instead.

Unsafe? I don't understand what about TaeBo could be unsafe? Just curious what you're referring to!

I love my TaeBo! :D

If you don't have KPC, you should definitely get it, IMHO! I used to like Tae Bo when it first came out. I have noticed that the more videos he puts out, the more the quality of them declines. A lot of people like him, though. I think collage has a return policy, right? You could always return the tae bo if you don't like it.

Any workout can be "dangerous" if you do not follow proper form. I have worked out with Billy for years and have never had an injury from his workouts. Now as far as the BootCamp workouts, I found them way too easy and boring. Give me Cathe kickboxing anyday...ot at least the "pre Goodtimes" Billy. :-(

I do think you should get KPC!! Cardio Kicks is good too! I do like Billy though. On the Bootcamp videos I did have the band snap on my thigh during the leg workout, but I still feel they are safe...:)

I really like Billy. I have the Tae Bo get ripped series and I think it is awesome. I also like the Tao bo ultimate lower body. He is definitley a free spirit and yes he is a lot more lax with cueing and choreography, but I get a GREAT workout with his dvd's. JMO:)

I have a lot of Tae Bo DVDs. I don't think they are dangerous, especially if you've had kickboxing training previously, or you start with the instructional and beginner workouts. Form really is everything, as is true for all exercise programs.

I have both his previous Bootcamp set, and the new Elite Bootcamp set. I like some of the workouts in both, dislike others. The Tae Bo workouts that I consistently enjoy are the Cardio Circuit series, and the Fat Blaster series. Collage video has them both. But if you want serious cardio, 'old school' style Tae Bo, try the Get Ripped Advance workouts.

I did Tae Bo workouts for 9 months, and got kind of burnt out on them. Then I discovered Cathe's workouts and I'm in love! I've bought so many in the last month that it probably would have been cheaper to buy a DVD bundle, LOL! I can't wait until I move back to the States (I'm in the UK now) and can order a High Step and start those workouts, too.

Cheers!
Stephanie
