Sweetening oatmeal

I always add fruit to oatmeal; banana year round & berries when in season. I can't believe what a bargain blueberries are this summer (& they're a nutritional powerhouse)!

Flaxmeal or nuts also add flavor, along with those omega-3 fatty acids.

And as some posted, a favorite spice like cinnamon can mask the blandness of oats.

I've tried cooking oats in milk, but the pot cleaning is an obstacle despite the improved taste & nutrients. So I drink the milk & cook w/ H2O.

Try this:

Add to cooked oatmeal ( 1/2 cup per serving of oatmeal) "8th Continent Vanilla Soy Milk". It comes in a "light" variety and tastes great.
