Supersets/PushPull

Does anyone have an opinion on supersets/pushpull? It's one of the few Cathe DVDs I don't own, and I noticed it's in a couple of rotations I'm thinking about doing- is it worth buying? I already have gymstyles and slow/heavy...
Thanks for any comments,
Lisa

I like them!

I really like push/pull and supersets. They provide a way to get a full-body workout done when you don't have an hour to work out. I use them when I am short on time and/or energy.

I do modify some of the exercises to accommodate my limitations and preferences, but get a good workout in less time than Cathe's other workouts.

Preview them if you're not sure, but I give them a thumbs up!

Lisa, I definitely think SS/PP is worth the investment. It's a great DVD with scads of premixes! It gives you so many options, and IIRC it's one of the few DVD's that gives you a full body workout in under an hour. I really love it -- it's one of my favorites. ;) :)

Premixes

Can anyone tell me a little more about the premixes on SS/PP? Do any of the premixes combine the two, like was done with Legs & Glutes and KPC?

Thank you!
Dawn

This is one of my most used Cathe DVDs--love it and love the premixes!

The premixes don't combine the two videos--it's more like doing 2 cycles of the leg exercises, or the "pull only" of Push/Pull, or certain rounds of the Supersets, etc. I use the all upper body/all lower body premixes when I'm short on time. They are perfect for hitting everything in well under an hour. And the music is awesome, too!

Funny of all my Cathe workouts this is the one I use the least. I much prefer muscle max, muscle endurance, and the gym style series.

Thanks to all that replied, I really appreciate your input. I think I am going to get it, except now I am looking at STS thinking I might be able to do that! I just don't have a barbell or chinup thing.

Miss Lee,
I just wanted to say I bought all of the cardiocoaches at your unbeknownst endorsement, and I absolutely love it! Thank you thank you thank you!

Cheers!

Lisa, welcome to Cardio Coach Land!!!!! :D

Oooh, did you get Press Play, too? You get that one by making a $20 donation to the Choose Living Foundation. You MUST have it! No Cardio Coach collection would be complete without it, and then you can join us for Press Play Saturday -- that's THIS Saturday and the last Saturday of every month http://www.thecathenation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=253593 :D

I also use SS or PP when I'm short on time. Also, I find that they are good for days when I'm not 100%, if I keep the weights moderate.

Sonja.

I have to admit since gym style came out and muscle max I don't do this workout anymore, well unless I am a little under the weather and want to workout with something that isn't going to kill me in the end. It is good if you are low on time and engery. I don't find them very challenging or feel the effect anymore. Maybe because the newer ones are more challenging.

Good enough to throw in your rotation but not a workout I do anymore.
